I love palettes. I think they could actually be my most loved colour cosmetic of all. Whether it be an eyeshadow palette, a lip and cheek palette, or just an everything-in-one. There is something about having lots of pretty colours neatly packaged into one compact that gets me giddy, and apparently I’m not the only beauty blogger who feels that way.
To find out which palettes are popular with the people, I asked my pals in the Beauty Blog Coalition to share their absolute, one-and-only favourite palette and why.
“The LORAC Pro Palette 2. It’s brand spanking new, but I layer the shades to give off different finishes to the shadows and I’ve been so impressed with the quality and versatility! I don’t know how LORAC managed to top their first palette, but they totally did!” – Blushing Noir
“Easy, my favorite palette is VISEART Neutrals 01. Why? Because Viseart is dense, highly pigmented, no fall out, matte colors from black to beige, and blends/ layers nicely or can go totally on its own, it is professional quality makeup.” – Norah Loves Makeup
“It’s probably overly predictable but I am in love with the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette! I love that i can easily create soft, feminine looks as well as bold, smoky looks with ease. The rose tones are absolutely gorgeous and, like with any other Urban Decay palette, the quality is amazing as well!” – Beauty 101
“My LORAC Pro Palette is my absolute favorite. It makes me wonder why I even purchased the other ones I own. It offers the best of both worlds – shimmer and matte shades. And it is also suitable for all age ranges. Colors are amazing and blend easily.” Makeup by Kim Porter
“I don’t own many palettes mostly because they often come with a few pans I know I won’t use, but I’m currently loving Le Métier de Beauté Eye Kaleidoscope in Chauvet Pont d’Arc, because the colors are universally flattering and the quality is outstanding!” – Glamorable
“LORAC Unzipped. It is the best neutral palette out there in my opinion and the quality of the shadows is outstanding. A lot of companies lower the quality of the makeup in palettes, but not with this one.” – Beauty and Fashion Tech
“I’m trying to live with less chemicals in my life. That is why I picked up Tarte’s Limited Edition Amazonian Clay eyeshadow palette. It has an array of shades with mattes and shimmers. Plus, they’re well pigmented. It’s the perfect all around palette for someone who wants less chemicals and cruelty free products.” – Beauty by Arielle
“My most loved palette is the Edward Bess Back to Basics. I don’t need to reach for a lot of products because it has most of what I need in it – eyeshadow, cheek & lip color. The colors are perfectly coordinated neutrals that I can use everyday.” – The Stepford Witch
“Hands down, the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette! I have never used a palette so much! I love that the two colors that most people will use most are huge instead of the smaller pans, since those always run out first. I love that there is a nice selection of browns/burgundys with a few pops of color (purple, pink), and obviously I LOVE the smell and the fantastic properties of the natural cocoa powder!” – The Daily Nail
“As a beauty blogger, I always felt a bit left out because I never jumped on the Naked train. I just felt the shades were so easy to duplicate! Good think I held out, because once I got my hands on the Coastal Scents Revealed Palette, I was in heaven! 20 gorgeous neutral shades that can create so many different looks– and many are dupes of UD shadows!” – Slashed Beauty
“UD Naked Basics. I can use it by itself for a matte neutral look, or as a companion to shimmery or colorful palettes because Walk of Shame and Naked 2 are the perfect blending colors. I also love the black shade as an eyeliner. Pretty much any look I use, SOME part of it is usually Naked Basics.” – The Gloss Menagerie
“IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Matte Palette. I adore this palette because of its flexibility. I tend toward neutrals but this palette has some color, though muted color, as well. And tho I go matte most of the time, it has a pearlescent powder that I can mix with any of the shades for a little glimmer and shimmer when I’m in the mood.” – Never Say Die Beauty
