I know I say this every month can you believe how quick this year has gone? It is November and that means we are only weeks away from Christmas and New Year. I don’t know about you but I haven’t even thought about Christmas shopping yet. While November is a rather quiet month in terms of new products being released, it is a big month for all the Christmas specials to be announced so keep an eye out for lots of gift guides I will be posting soon.
In the meantime, check out these beauty favourites that are on sale this month. I think you will probably find an item or two you will want to add to your own Christmas wishlist.
America’s (and Australia’s even though he isn’t really one of us) favourite celebrity hair stylist, David Babaii, has reformulated and redesigned his entire hair line-up and it has blown me away. The new 14 piece range covers hair care and styling for all hair types, and it comes in pretty new chocolate and rose gold coloured packaging. Another reason I love David Babaii is because his entire company is 100% cruelty free (PETA.org certified) and the crazy guy donates all his profits from the sale of his goods to animal charities. Seriously, what an amazing man!
Australia – David Babaii Australia, Priceline and select pharmacies.
USA & UK – Unavailable at this time.
I have to say ORLY are on a roll this year and their latest collection is probably my most favourite of all. Feel The Vibe is are 6 neon nail polishes that will make your world come alive. Melt Your Popsicle (orange crème), Dayglow (white shimmer), Skinny Dip (light blue crème), Glowstick (fluro yellow crème), Beach Cruiser (bright pink crème) are teamed with the dazzling After Party (black shimmer). They yell summer to me but in all honesty I will be wearing it year round. In fact, I have been wearing Beach Cruiser on my toes for months!
Australia $18.95 each from ORLY Australia, selected pharmacies, salons and spas.
UK £7.50 from Beauty Bay
There are a whole flock of new BB Cream’s hitting the market but the one I am most excited about is the newest offering from Rimmel London. Available in Light, Medium or Medium/Dark, the Rimmel version of BB Cream includes SPF 25. It boasts 9 in 1 benefits to prime, moisturise, minimise pores, conceal, cover, smooth, mattify, brighten and protect skin. Basically it is a makeup artist in a tube.
Australia $12.95 from Priceline, Kmart, Target, Big W, Coles supermarkets & selected pharmacies.
USA – Unavailable at this time (but you can grab it from ASOS for approximately $9).
A skincare favourite to many (including myself), you can always rely on Dermalogica to come up with great new products to perfect our complexion. Their new release this month to take my fancy is the Sheet Tint SPF20. It is a light tinted moisturiser, very sheer (in my opinion) and a great everyday product to layer with. The SPF 20 is broad spectrum and the tint is available in three shades; Light, Medium and Dark.
Australia $77 from Dermalogica Australia
UK – Unavailable at this time.
My obsession with hand cream has continued and the new Ultra Hydrating Hand Cream from Trilogy is the one that captured my attention most recently. This one is perfect for the work desk because it is hydrating enough to combat the air-con/heating systems you have in the office and the simple, classy packaging doesn’t draw too much attention (mostly from sneaky coworkers who borrow your stuff!).
Australia $21.95 from Myer, Priceline and selected pharmacies and health food stores.
USA $28 from Beautorium
UK $15.50 from Boots
The latest fragrance release from Avon is City Rush, an Eau de Parfum Spray embodying the persona of a style fashionista. It has fresh top notes of bergamot, plum and crispy ivy greens, heart notes of black dahlia, rose and vanilla orchids and base notes of creamy woods, earthy patchouli flower and musk.
Australia $59.99 from Avon Representatives (phone 1800 646 000)
USA & UK – Unavailable at this time.
A Balenciaga handbag is one of my ultimate wishlist items. I adore the brand but until I can afford to buy one of their super stylish fashion items I am going to stick with their super stylish beauty items. Their latest scent is Florabotanica, an Eau de Parfum bursting with floral notes but a few strong punches of other notes. It is a true designer fragrance and the bottle is like a piece of art you can display on your mantle.
Australia $85 from Myer and David Jones
UK £62.55 from Saks Fifth Avenue UK
