David Jones is one of Australia’s biggest department stores (the other being Myer) and considered by many as THE destination for beauty shopping. Personally, I have always been a bit of a Myer girl but over the past few years I have been preferring online over the physical stores. My shopping experiences at the big Australian department stores never go very well, especially at David Jones. The ladies behind the counter always give me filthy looks, even when I am forking over hundreds of dollars on a beauty haul. I always get caught at the register with a 50 year old machine that takes 20 minutes to print out a receipt. And no matter what time of day I go there always seems to be a mothers group with 20 prams in tow knocking me over. Not to mention the last time I went to David Jones Food Hall I got food poisoned by a smoothie. I really have no luck at those stores but yesterday the David Jones Beauty catalogue landed in my letterbox and all those bad memories were pushed aside. The 60 or so pages of beauty porn have lured me in and I am going to share with you the special offers that won me over.
The best thing I noticed about the David Jones Beauty book this year was that most of the offers are available online. Now I don’t have to go in to a store and have a cranky old sales assistant swear at me under her breath. Score!
Here are the Gift With Purchase offers that bowled me over.
Spend $39.90 or more on OPI and recieve a bonus OPI Drip Dry (value $23.95). This is perfect timing now that the OPI Euro Centrale collection is on sale.
Purchase any Chloé 50ml fragrance and recieve a bonus Chloé pouch, or go one better and purchase a Chloé 75ml fragrance and score the pouch PLUS a deluxe miniature Chloé fragrance of your choice. The deluxe mini’s are so adorable!
Purchase a full-sized Dermalogica moisturiser (Skin Smoothing Cream, Intensive Moisture Balance or Active Moist) and receive a Daily Microfoliant 13g and the improved Solar Defense Booster SPF50 10ml (value $25). The best part of this deal is that all Dermalogica moisturisers are now even cheaper in store after going through price harmonisation.
Spend $34.95 or more on Revlon and receive an Iconic Revlon cosmetics bag plus your favourite shade of Super Lustrous Lipstick as your gift. Spending less than $35 on Revlon goodies is easy peasy. I am sure I could inspire you with my love of the ColorBurst Lip Butters.
Spend $100 or more on Burberry Beauty and receive a bonus Burberry Eye Definer (value $42). I am yet to try Burberry Beauty, and you know I never write about anything unless I have tried it, but I am dying to try this range so this may be the gift with purchase that finally makes me for over the cash.
Spend $27.95 or more on any product from theBalm range and receive a TimeBalm Primer (value $34.95) as your gift. Less than $3o?? Easy! I recommend the Overshadows from The Sexpot Series and the NudeTude Eye Shadow Palette.
Purchase any La Prairie Eye Cream and receive a bonus Cellular Luxe Lip Treatment SPF15 (value $70) as your gift. I think by now we all know I have a deep love for La Prairie, and you can even see me use the La Prairie Advanced Marine Biology Eye Cream.
Spend $39 or more on the ModelCo range and receive your bonus ModelCo Quick Fix Beauty Collection (value $85), in your choice of two shades. Each collection contains mascara, blush and lipgloss. Easy pickings of the ModelCo range would be the Eyeshadow Trio and the hot new range of Party Proof nail polish.
These offers are exclusive to David Jones. I recommend you visit the David Jones website to see all the terms and conditions related to these offers. Most offers end 3 March.
