Easter is fast approaching and before the week is out you will probably have caved-in to a Hot Cross Bun or chocolate egg …. or five. Dust yourself off because enjoying the holiday season isn’t about what you eat. There are lots of ways to join in the fun without going up a dress size. My easter special this year is all about guilt-free, fat-free easter treats. My delicious morsels are all beauty products, and they don’t discriminate against lactose-intolerance or veganism or any other dietary/lifestyle roadblocks.
NOTE: I do realise Easter isn’t meant to be a cheerful holiday but when you see these beauties you will see why happiness is on the cards.
Lush have always excelled at creating adorable beauty products, but they really nail it on the holidays. This year they have a bunch of easter themed treats to suit everyones taste.
Fluffy Egg Bath Ballistic
A very sweet, very delightful, VERY fluffy pink egg. Drop this egg-squisite bath bomb into a tub full of warm water and enjoy wallowing in the sweet as candy waters. A superb Easter treat for big and little kids alike, Fluffy Egg is a must have for fans of all things sweet, too. Vegan.
Golden Egg Bath Ballistic
A special Easter treat inspired by chocolate cream eggs – we reverse it and coated the hard bath bomb centre with a creamy bath melt shell. The outer bath melt mix is made using our beautiful fair trade, organic, Colombian Peace Village cocoa butter and olive oil from a brand new permaculture project we’re working with in Palestine. Scented with the best selling Honey I Washed the Kids fragrance, it’s coated with environmentally friendly golden lustre. Vegan.
Brightside Bubble Bar
A bright and cheerful swirl of a bubble bar to give you a fresh and cheerful perspective. Crumble under the running taps for frothy white clouds of bubbles. Vegan.
Bunny Bubble Bar
Inspired by the white rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, this sweet little fellow has a pink tummy containing flowers that float in your bath water and take you to a land far away while the shea butter and coconut oil moisturise and soften your skin. You can break it in half to use over two baths, or use the whole thing for masses of sweet smelling bubbles. Vegan.
Bunch of Carrots Bubble Bar
Back from last year, this time as a bunch of three smaller carrots, so each one can be used when it’s at its freshest. Place one (or the whole bunch) under running water to create lots of bubbles, then pop aside for another time. Fragranced with the buchu, lemon and bergamot, there’s also a little bit of nutritious carrot oil in each one, which is rich in vitamins and an extraordinary skin soother and rejuvenator. Vegan.
A spectacular carrot-shaped soap with a bunny hiding in every piece! The orange part is made with carrot oil to moisturise; while the white bunny inside is made with cocoa butter to soften. The fragrance smells nothing like carrots however, as we’ve used fruity essential oils such as buchu, lemon and bergamot to really make your mouth water. Vegan.

Speckled eggs may taste delicious but they look even better on your nails. Ulta3’s new limited edition collection introduces 6 hot shades of speckled nail lacquer. The polish has fine black pepper-like particles and large matte glitter pieces blended into a pastel base, creating an eggshell effect manicure. Very cool!

We love Nail Rock for their nail wraps but they have seriously hit the ball out of the park with their latest “textured” appliqué. White Pom Poms Texture Manicure is a set of adorableness. Included in the kit is a bottle of Rock Nail Polish (Jade Green shade) and a container of white pom-poms. Team it with a white nail-art pen and you could make some fluffy bunny rabbit nail art!
