Remember yesterday when I said I am overworked and my brain needs a rest? Well here is the evidence I needed because I just remembered I didn’t tell you about the fabulous new products I picked up at the Sydney International Spa & Beauty Expo in August. The good news is that all my purchases are now available for you to buy as well so I guess that worked out well.
Shall we see what I added to my collection? HINT: I really need to avoid nail polish stalls.
I often complain that Color Club is impossible to get in Australia so you can imagine my excitement when I saw they had a stand at the expo. In all honesty, I was completely overwhelmed with the large selection of colours they had on offer but when I spotted they had both of the Halo Hues collection (2012 and 2013) I snapped them all up. In my defense I really don’t have any holographic nail polishes in my collection so I am justified in buying 12 bottles. Right?
These nail lacquers are vegan (obviously no animal testing), non-toxic, environmentally safe, and 4-FREE (toluene, formaldehyde, camphor, and DBP).
Australia $19.95 from Nefertiti
USA $10 from Folica
UK £6.59 from RW Beauty
The sister brand of Color Club is still a new brand so unless you read a lot of nail blogs or are located in the USA you probably haven’t heard of it. I would dare say the colour changing polish created by Ruby Wing is the most impactful of all the colour changing polishes. They don’t just transform from a light shade to a darker version of the same shade, they actually can change to entirely different colours. Once again, I didn’t know where to start so I bought a mini set from the new Cupcakes & Champagne Collection (Fall 2013 in the northern hemisphere). These cuties are scented like sweet treats and filled with sparkles that dazzle.
Just like Color Club, these nail lacquers are vegan (obviously no animal testing), non-toxic, environmentally safe, and 4-FREE (toluene, formaldehyde, camphor, and DBP).
Australia $39.95 from Nefertiti
USA $12.95 from Ruby Wing
UK £14.99 from RW Beauty
One beauty tool I am always lacking is a pencil sharpener. I probably own about 10 but I can never seem to find them when I need them. When I walked past the LimeLily stall I saw they were selling theirs for just $4.50 which is a bargain I couldn’t walk past. I am yet to see if it works better than the others I own.
Australia $4.50 from LimeLily Cosmetics
