Next Sunday (September 2) it is Father’s Day in Australia (yes, we like to do things different from the USA and UK who do it in June). If you are anything like me than you have probably left it to the last minute to get your dad something. Don’t worry, I have compiled a Father’s Day Gift Guide to help us all find gifts.

Before I begin, in my eyes Father’s Day is not just for those who are actually your father. I know many people who grew up without a dad but there were lots of men in their lives who helped raise them. Perhaps a brother, uncle or family friend. This Sunday, think of them as well when you are saying thank-you for always being there for you.

Now for the gifts! Continue Reading

There is no denying that buying beauty products from international retailers is extremely lucrative to many people, especially those located in Australia and New Zealand. While I can carry on about how I like shopping at Mecca Cosmetica and Adore Beauty (and oh boy do I love those stores, both of which also ship internationally!!) the fact of the matter is that not everything I want can be bought in Australia, or for a price I can afford. This is where buying from international stores comes in, and in particular, the big USA department stores.

Why Am I Writing This Post?

I want to be up front and say that supporting your local economy is very important. I know that, you know that. I am not encouraging you to desert your local industry and only buy internationally. This post is merely a guide to help those who perhaps already buy from overseas retailers and are frustrated at not knowing which brands can and cannot be purchased.

One store I shop from a lot is Nordstrom. They have a lot of clothing brands that I have never heard of before but are perfect for me. But, a few times I have tried to add beauty products to my basket only at checkout it says those items aren’t able to be shipped to Australia. This is something I have experienced on many sites, so in frustration, I set out to do this post.  Continue Reading

End of Year Sales Fashion Shopping Inspiration

The Boxing Day and End of Year sales are in full-swing. While this can be a fab time to pick up a great deal, it’s not such a money saver if you buy things you don’t need or really want. Having a shopping list of what to buy is one of my most valuable tips for being a savvy sale shopper. However, I’ll admit that sometimes there are things out there I didn’t know I needed. Sometimes, I need someone to introduce me to the things I didn’t know (or forgot) I needed. That’s what I’m offering you some end of year sales shopping inspiration by sharing some of the great goodies I picked up during the Cyber Week sales.

These are the beauty and fashion goodies I got during Black Friday, Cyber Weekend and Cyber Monday.  Continue Reading

Finding a good face cleanser shouldn’t be difficult but for me it’s one of those things I’m always looking to improve.
