Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries sharing her review of Bioderma Sensibio H2O Makeup Remover Wipes

Bioderma Sensibio h20 Micelle Cleansing Water is a popular choice for makeup removal worldwide. Little did I know that this makeup remover was also available in the convenient and handy wipes format. I spotted the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Wipes during an emergency trip to a pharmacy in Paris when I was struck down with a killer flu. As usual, I go in for medicine and I come out with beauty products. No shock there.

Do the wipes work as well as the original micelle water solution? Are they any better than other makeup removal wipes? My review tells you whether these are worth your attention.  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries sharing her review of Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age Advanced Serum

A hyaluronic acid serum could be the most important skincare product every single person should have in their skincare routine. The one I tried most recently is the popular Hylamide SubQ Anti-Age Advanced Serum by trending skincare company Deciem, and in this review I will share whether this serum has made a difference in my ongoing anti-aging battle. Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries sharing the contents of her Beautylish Lucky Bag 2017

The Beautylish Lucky Bag is a wonderful annual tradition produced by global online beauty retailer Beautylish. You may have heard the hype on Instagram and from your favourite influencers about the Beautylish Lucky Bag, an annual ‘lucky dip’ of sorts that allows you to pay a once-off price to get a mystery delivery of beauty products in value well exceeding the price you pay. It’s what I call Gambling for Beauty Addicts. It’s taken me until 2017 to try it because I’m not much of a gambler. I unboxed the contents of my Lucky Bag live on Instagram (make sure you are following me to see every unboxing as they happen!) but if you missed it you are in luck because I will reveal to you what I got in mine, and my review of the entire Beautylish #LuckyBag2017 experience.  Continue Reading

Spring Facial Hair Remover Wand Tool

Peach fuzz should be exclusive to peaches. Unfortunately that isn’t the case for me, I have that annoying fine, blonde hair (officially known as vellus hair) covering my body like most humans but luckily we no longer need to keep it. I have found a cheap, quick and easy method for removing my fine facial hair, I’m just mad I didn’t find it sooner.

If you have tried threading you’ll understand this concept easily. It’s the same thing but requires no coordination skills. It’s what I would call an easier alternative to threading with the same results. Let me tell you why EVERYONE should have a Facial Hair Remover Wand. Continue Reading

FOA Cosmetics Tinted Moisturiser Review

One of my long-time favourite Australian brands is Face of Australia. I’ve been using their products for years and they used to be a strong, reliable producer of certified cruelty-free cosmetic products. However, things have changed dramatically in the past couple years and it has saddened me. They ditched the cruelty-free certification (which makes their status a mystery as you are purely taking them on their word), promotion of new releases has been silent and their website is in desperate need of a makeover. Despite my own little pet peeves I feel going on, I can’t help but been drawn to their products when I do see them. For that reason, I will continue to review their cosmetics for now.

One of their more recent releases were an updated line of Tinted Moisturisers, now with SPF50+ as opposed to their earlier SPF30+ product. I’m not keen on tinted moisturisers generally because the tints are usually too dark for my skin or they appear muddy. I wanted to try the Face of Australia Tinted Moisturiser anyway as the appeal of an SPF50 was strong for me. Would this one be any different? Could this be the tinted moisturiser game changer?  Continue Reading
