Spring Facial Hair Remover Wand Tool

Peach fuzz should be exclusive to peaches. Unfortunately that isn’t the case for me, I have that annoying fine, blonde hair (officially known as vellus hair) covering my body like most humans but luckily we no longer need to keep it. I have found a cheap, quick and easy method for removing my fine facial hair, I’m just mad I didn’t find it sooner.

If you have tried threading you’ll understand this concept easily. It’s the same thing but requires no coordination skills. It’s what I would call an easier alternative to threading with the same results. Let me tell you why EVERYONE should have a Facial Hair Remover Wand. Continue Reading

FOA Cosmetics Tinted Moisturiser Review

One of my long-time favourite Australian brands is Face of Australia. I’ve been using their products for years and they used to be a strong, reliable producer of certified cruelty-free cosmetic products. However, things have changed dramatically in the past couple years and it has saddened me. They ditched the cruelty-free certification (which makes their status a mystery as you are purely taking them on their word), promotion of new releases has been silent and their website is in desperate need of a makeover. Despite my own little pet peeves I feel going on, I can’t help but been drawn to their products when I do see them. For that reason, I will continue to review their cosmetics for now.

One of their more recent releases were an updated line of Tinted Moisturisers, now with SPF50+ as opposed to their earlier SPF30+ product. I’m not keen on tinted moisturisers generally because the tints are usually too dark for my skin or they appear muddy. I wanted to try the Face of Australia Tinted Moisturiser anyway as the appeal of an SPF50 was strong for me. Would this one be any different? Could this be the tinted moisturiser game changer?  Continue Reading

Moroccanoil Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Whether it’s warm or cold weather it doesn’t matter much to my hair lately – it’s always thirsty! Maybe it’s an age thing, maybe it’s an Australian weather thing – whatever the reason doesn’t matter because I need hydration and one of the easiest ways to get it in my hair is with a hydrating shampoo/conditioner combo I can use daily.

I’ve wanted to try the Moroccanoil Hydrating shampoo and conditioner for quite some time after having a good experience with the Moroccanoil Extra Volume range. I was still skeptical about how the Hydration range would work for me, as I previously have mentioned the hero product of Moroccanoil has yet to impress me, but I still wanted to give them a shot. My review shares if these products worked on my fine, dry hair.  Continue Reading

Best vegan beauty products

I’m honoured to have a guest post from one of my favourite vegan bloggers, Chelsey from Like A Vegan. Proving that veganism isn’t all about eating lettuce and wearing Crocs, Chelsey shows us how wonderfully colourful life can be as a vegan. And she is hilarious. No lectures, scare tactics or horrifying images of mutilated animals. Chelsey brings humor, fun and energy to life without cruelty – and now she is doing it here with this awesome post about her favourite vegan beauty products.  Continue Reading

Simple Spotless Rapid Action Spot Zapper

Pimples don’t stop making themselves present just because you turn 25. In fact, I believe I’ve had more pimples as an adult than I ever had as a pre-teen or teenager. Stress, diet, hormones and environmental changes are something that have contributed greatly to my recent season of breakouts. I have a pretty solid daily skincare regime but when the occasional breakout rears its ugly head I don’t go changing my entire routine. I break out a spot treatment instead.

Simple Skincare’s range expansion now includes blemish fighters. I recently picked up the Spot Zapper as I’m a sucker for trying a new release and the roll-on applicator intrigued me. Has it been combatting my pimples? Read the review below to find out! Continue Reading
