It is June and that means winter has officially arrived for the southern hemisphere, and summer for the northern. As I am sure you can guess, that means lots and lots of new products going on sale across the globe. Here are my favourites this month.

Hair

Sunsilk

The newest release from Sunsilk Co-Creators is styling line that has me very excited about trying to style my hair. I know I am so bad at it but this new line, co-created with Teddy Charles, is simple and easy to understand. There is a product for every style you want to make and they are broken down into four categories so it isn’t hard for us to pick what we need; Captivating Curls & Waves, Hold Me Forever, Straight Perfection and Daring Volume.

Starts at AUS $6.49 from supermarkets, pharmacies and variety stores. Not available in the UK and USA.

Aveda

Designed to be used as a ‘foundation’ for hair, the new Pure Abundance Style-Prep spray detangles hair and is great to restore volume on non-shampoo days. The minty floral fragrance may not be for everyone, but the 95% naturally derived formula makes you feel good about using something that isn’t harming the environment.

AUS $44.95. Not currently available in the UK or USA.

Moroccanoil

Weightless Hydrating Mask is the hair mask for ladies with fine, limp hair. The rinse-out treatment revitalises your hair without adding weight, allowing maximum hydration for lifeless hair.

AUS $49.50 / USA $35

Nails

Essie

It has been quite some time since an Essie nail collection really stole my heart, but the Cocktail Bling! collection seems to have done it this month. Each of the 6 shades are inspired by dazzling jewels were released as the Winter 2011 collection in the northern hemisphere, but for us Australian and New Zealand ladies we are just getting it in-store this month. Nevertheless, we are happy to get it at all!

The collection includes:

Cocktail Bling – precious pale gray
Brooch The Subject – creamy cashmere cameo
Bobbing For Baubles – deepest, darkest sapphire
Size Matters – blazing hot ruby red
Bangle Jangle – lavender amethyst
School of Hard Rocks – midnight malachite

AUS $18.95 each from Adore Beauty / USA $8 each from Bloom.comicon / UK £8.50 from Beauty Bay

Makeup

Dr. LeWinn’s

Skin Perfect is the new cosmetic line from skincare brand Dr. LeWinn’s. You probably know Dr. LeWinn’s for their famous Private Formula, but they have come a long way since that infamous product and now have skincare lines that cross many categories. The makeup line is a new venture and so far I am really liking it for older skin that needs the benefit of skincare properties. It’s also a really easy line to navigate, with a selection of foundations on offer that cover most skin tones. The full line consists of a primer, liquid foundation, concealer, illuminser and pressed powder. All the essentials for a great complexion.

Available from Priceline.

Australis Cosmetics

I am definitely an eye pencil fan over liquid eyeliner but finding coloured pencils that last on the eyes are difficult. I can count the brands on one hand who offer a really good coloured eye pencil, and now I can add Australis to that list. The new 10 Hour Wear Eye Pencils come in Aqua Attack, Bombastic Bronze and Grape cake, each of which are highly pigmented and glide on beautifully.

AUS $9.95 each. Not available in the UK or USA.

Lancôme

Hypnôse Doll Eyes mascara has been a huge hit for Lancôme, and now they bring us the same flirty lashes in a new waterproof formula. Hypnôse Doll Eyes Waterproof comes in black, and uses the patented Doll Eyes brush to give lashes volume and lift.

AUS $54 from Adore Beauty / UK £21 from Lancome. Not currently available in the USA.

Face Of Australia

The lip crayon fad isn’t going to go anywhere anytime soon, and with these new Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons from FOA, everyone can get in on the fun. Available in a pack of 3, you get Cupcake, Sundae and Macaron each with a sweet vanilla scent. The colours are sheer and leave lips looking healthy and feeling moisturised.

AUS $14.95 from Priceline. Not available in the UK or USA.

Body

Tweezerman

I think by now you all know I love Tweezerman tweezers. The only thing that could make me love them more is if they release a pink one, which they have! The new Slanted Tweezers in Geranium is a beautiful summery pink colour, and like all Tweezerman tweezers, they work a treat on my unwanted hairs.

RRP $39.95 from i-Glamour / US $20 from Sephora

Fragrance

Beyonce

That foxy diva known as Beyonce is back with a fresh summer fragrance (ye, it is summer in the Northern part of the world). Beyonce Pulse Summer Edition is a fruit fragrance with a couple of spicy notes, but what I really love about this perfume is the bottle. The turquoise and pink bottle is almost a work of art, and it looks beautiful sitting on a window still as the sunshine filters through.

AUS $45 (50ml) from Myer and David Jones / US $59 (3.4oz) from Bon-Ton Department Stores

Guess

I love their clothes, shoes, jewellery and accessories … so of course I am going to like their fragrances! The newest is Guess Seductive Sunkissed, and once again I am probably being lured in here by the adorable packaging. The retro-chic bottle is filled with a shimmery pink liquid, topped with a pink spritz pump, and round the bottle neck hangs an adorable lipstick charm. The fragrance it self smells like summer, and opens with fruity notes and dries down woody.

AUS $65 from Myer and David Jones / USA $52 from Macy’s
