Do you have favourite underwear? A style and fabric that makes you feel comfortable but sexy at the same time? For almost my entire life I had no such thing. I was constantly at war with panties. They were too tight, too loose, dug in, sagged, felt suffocating and uncomfortable – I could go on forever about how much of a pain it was to wear underwear. That was up until a few years ago when La Senza arrived in Australia. I discovered their underwear and my life changed forever. I bought a handful and they had lasted me all this time but a couple of months ago I realised I was in desperate need of an update so I went to find where the nearest store was located. To my shock, La Senza had just closed their operations in Australia. I was gutted.
I am not the type of person to allow a little thing like withdrawing from a country to get in the way of the underwear that I loved. I logged on to their main website (based in Canada) and began searching for a way to get it to Australia. Luckily they ship internationally … they must understand how important a girls underwear is. The shipping wasn’t going to be cheap so with this in mind I thought I better make use of this situation and really stock up. La Senza were offering a special of 7 cotton panties for just CAD $28. Bargain. I’ll take 2 lots. This is what I ordered:
I love these undies because they don’t dig in, they leave no panty lines and the fabric is comfortable without being bulky. They sit on the hips perfectly and the cheeky cut skims the buttocks rather than clinging to them. My usual size in these are a Small, however, because I have put on a fair amount of weight I decided to grab some in Medium. The mediums are a perfect fit for the moment but I don’t plan on being this heavy for very long.
As you can see from the images, there are enough colours and patterns to keep me entertained for some time. I adore colourful underwear but I got a few neutrals and basics because they are handy under certain clothing items.
I also took a gamble and ordered some gorgeous bras that I never would have seen before. I liked the interest back detail on their bras and figured I would eventually need something similar. Bras were also Buy One Get One 50% Off. Ok, maybe I just wanted a bright pink bra. Sue me. Here is what else I ordered:
Lastly, I grabbed a new pair of satin pyjama pants because I find them the most comfortable to sleep in during cooler nights and I had actually just cleaned out my pyjama drawer. The boxy cut of these are roomy and I like the spot print.
My order came to a total of CAD $146.75 including taxes. There is no way I could have bought this much for so little in Australia.
