Active Copper

Active copper refers to copper peptides, a class of compound consisting of a copper atom and protein molecules (peptides). Copper is a trace element that can be found in every cell and is essential to higher animals and plants. Believed to be an effective component in tissue regeneration, clinical studies show copper to be effective in promoting wound healing, speeding up recovery, minimising scar formation and improving skin remodelling. Evidence suggests that copper promotes collagen and elastin and may promote anti-oxidant activity. Considered safe, there are no known side effects. See Copper Gluconate.
