Green Tea

Leaves from the tea plant (camellia sinensis) that are minimally processed and therefore retain much higher levels of antioxidants than black (heavily oxidised) varieties. Green tea is a rich source of polyphenol antioxidants and studies have shown that applied topically it protects against sunburn and UV damage. Furthermore, there is evidence that green tea may be effective in preventing and treating cancer. There is no conclusive evidence that topical application of green tea diminishes wrinkles.
