Palm Oil

Vegetable oil from the fruit of the oil palm (elaeis) tree. A very good emollient that is rich in carotenoids (a source of vitamin A) and vitamin E, it also contains linoleic acid, squalene and ubiquinone (Q10). Palm oil lends hardness and creamy bubbles to soap, and is used often in the manufacture of soaps and other products as an emulsifier, surfactant and emollient.
