I know I work online, shop online and practically live online but I still love curling up with a magazine every now and then. There is no better magazine to do that with than a beauty one. Did you know there were magazines that were 100% focused on beauty? Yep, if you are a beauty lover you can get a full-size glossy magazine dedicated to your desires, and I’m going to share with you the three you need to read.
It may have already been around for 20+ years but I only discovered Allure in the past 10. The monthly title is published by Conde Nast and has been led by former The New York Times Magazine beauty editor, Linda Wells, since it was created. Allure were one of the first titles to do a Best in Beauty awards, of which they are now considered the ultimate accolade if your product receives one.
Their circulation was approximately 1million in 2011 and the Allure website a behemoth for the digital world. The magazine turns general beauty consumer concerns and interests into a glossy offering of informative articles, trends and some incredible celebrity shoots.

Heart Beauty Magazine
Australia have a tonne of professional beauty titles for those in the business but it wasn’t until Heart Beauty Magazine launched in early 2013 that we finally had one just for beauty-loving consumers. The one thing I love about Heart Beauty is that they showcase the great beauty talent Australia has to offer. Makeup artists, hair stylists, colourists, photographers …. the shoots done for this magazine puts them all in the spotlight.
You can expect to find more than just stunning imagery in this quarterly magazine. There are trend features, interviews, news and reviews to influence your purchasing decisions. We also love their Facebook Page for staying up to date with the latest in beauty from around the world.

They claim to be The Beauty Authority, and we kind of have to agree. New Beauty is a US title that mixes it up between professional treatment beauty and everyday beauty needs. They cover everything from spider veins to lipgloss, post-pregnancy to dental veneers. You name it, they cover it … ranging from 100-word flash posts through to essay-length features.
The New Beauty website is also a great place to get your beauty fix, they even have their own beauty sample box service, Test Tube. If you are looking for a beauty mag that takes you from the drugstore to the department store and then to the beauty clinic, you’ll love this quarterly title.
