If there were just one minority of people who knew how to expertly shop for beauty products it would have to be beauty bloggers. I’m heading to the USA soon and it’s been a long time since I stepped foot in my beloved beauty store, Sephora. By now I thought Sephora would be shipping to Australia but as we know, that isn’t happening. To assist me in preparing a shopping list I called on my fellow beauty bloggers from the Beauty Blog Coalition to tell me which one product they deemed an essential Sephora purchase.
“This may be a simple one… but it’s a staple in my makeup collection and I can’t do eye makeup without it. If you love wearing eye shadow and are looking for an eye primer that will assist with color that will last all day and keep your shadow from creasing – go with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I’ve been using it since 2008 and it still remains a Holy Grail for me.” – Honey Girls Worlds
“Definitely the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes (yes, all of them) and get yourself at least one of the Marc Jacobs Beauty. Personally, I can’t live with out the Style Eye-Con No.7 – Plush Shadow in The Starlet 204!” – Blushing Noir
“Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders – Unlike most powders, these are not complexion-specific. Each color is meant to make the skin glow with a different kind of light – from morning sunrise (“Dim Light”) to candlelight (“Luminous Light”); it’s almost like Instagram filters in real life. ” – Glamorable
“Sephora has a surprisingly high quality in-house brand (The Sephora Collection). I’m a die-hard fan of their bronzers and blushes. They’re pigmented and blend so easily into the skin.” – Slashed Beauty
“Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara, I buy these two at a time (only $10 ea), it won’t smudge or flake while making the lashes look longer” – Beauty by Krystal
“This is an obvious one, but the original Naked palette from Urban Decay. I love it and I still use it all of the time. Another is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes, they’re amazing.” – Confessions of a Makeup Addict
