I don’t know what it is this week but lips are getting my fullest attention right now. Is it just me or is there something awesome about a perfectly painted lip? More specifically, a bright or bold coloured one.
First it was the dramatic blue lip at Richard Chai, then I showed you red lips from Napoleon Perdis … and now it is this beautiful pink number created by Revlon’s Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman for the Luca Luca show at NYFW.
Bold lip, great skin, flowy hair. I think this entire look is stunning. So, what does the creator have to say about it?
“I was inspired by the designer’s color palette and chose shades and textures that would bring out the essence of the entire collection,”
“It reminded me of the sophistication of an Italian Vogue story I’d seen with girls that looked very luxurious, young and polished. The slightly transparent yet glossy purple eye works beautifully with the lip. It’s glamorous yet approachable.”
– Gucci Westman, Global Artsitic Director for Revlon
Westman paired an angelic eye with a strong lip for the Luca Luca Spring 2012 collection, which was inspired by the sensuality and femininity of a strong woman. Westman used hues of purples and browns to highlight the designer’s fresh and edgy collection comprised of a sherbet palette of periwinkle, teal and shades of berry juxtaposed against graphic black and white.
For me, it is all about that lip. I want it!
Two lipsticks from the Super Lustrous collection were mixed together to create that powerful pink, Fuchsia Fusion and Berry Haute. On top, a slick of Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Shine City added the glamour.
