Vegan Cuts Beauty Box Review

I recently published a review of my beloved Vegan Cuts snack box where I highlighted that when people find out I’m vegan they question me about food. Well, on the flip side to that there is the questions I get from other vegans when they find out I’m a beauty writer. For new vegans they often find it hard to learn about which beauty products there are to suit their new lifestyle but it doesn’t have to be. There are numerous resources to discover vegan and cruelty-free beauty but Vegan Cuts make this discovery process a lot more enjoyable with their Beauty Box subscription service.

This is the first Vegan Cuts beauty box I’ve ever received but I’ve been a long time subscriber of the snack box. Would this one win me my heart too? I’ve reviewed this one for you and even put it into a video!

My Review

Vegan Cuts Beauty Box

Inside the Vegan Cuts Beauty Box

This organic cream colour can be used on eyes, lips and cheeks. I think the peachy-pink hue is best suited on me as a blush. It’s a great multi-use product not just for vegans and cruelty-free beauty babes but also for those with skin sensitivities because the product is soy free, gluten free, organic and all natural. The petite sized sample is generous because you need only a smudge but it’s best used with fingers as a brush didn’t pick it up at all.

This box also came with a 25% off voucher for the Nouveau Organica website, valid until 31 August. They only ship within the USA so I can’t use that for now.

Nouveau Organica – Organic Cream Color

The much-loved Ellovi butter is a raw body cream made from just 6 ingredients. natural ingredients. You need to warm it up with your fingers before you can really get any out, similar to hardened coconut oil (which is one of the ingredients). I think this small pot, similar to the size of a lip balm, is a little hard to get your finger in to really work it. Once you do manage to get some it feels lovely on the skin but it’s a bit too much work for me when I could just as easily use a body oil.

Just The Goods

Generous 7ml samples of both their peppermint and their lavender hand & body lotion was exciting to see but they were packed into these tricky little round plastic containers that pop open. I found them too fiddly to want to reuse but the lotion itself is lovely – rich, creamy and really nourishing for my dry winter skin. I’m not a fan of lavender or peppermint scents but if you are you’ll love these – they are pretty potent.

Original Sprout

I think this hair and body wash is targeted at babies based on the packaging (it says “Babywash” and “For Babies & Up”) but I really liked it anyway. It smells like clean laundry with a slight sweetness. The gel feels lovely on the body and it left my skin feeling clean as well as super soft. It’s free from so many nasties that it would be perfect for the whole family but it was a little too drying for my already dry hair so i’ll keep this one just to the body.

Savvy Boheme

Bo-hem? Bo-heem? How do you pronounce that? Anyway, this was the product that freaked me out the most. The Tall Americano bath and body oil contains coffee infused olive oil. What is that? Who cares because this stuff was amazing. It does smell mostly like olive oil straight from the bottle but the coffee scent comes through while your applying it and that’s what I love.

Emani Vegan Cosmetics

I love getting vegan cosmetics because the stuff in non-vegan ones is kind of horrifying (crushed beetles, animal fat … yuck!). The Hydrating Lip Color I received is a purple hue named Temptress. It’s beautifully opaque, it really is hydrating and it had such a long wear time. I definitely want more of these lippies.
