Best new beauty products october 2014

October. It came, and now it’s practically gone. We still have Halloween to celebrate and it will kick off what is officially known as the madness of holiday season. Are you ready for it? Do you have everything you need? Do you have everything you want? NEVER, we know there is always new things to need and want, that’s why I do this round-up of brilliant new products each month.

Over 70 products new to launch in October landed on my desk and it was a tough gig picking my favourites, as it is every month. Surprisingly it was the Body category that had the most newbies but I guess this is expected as the temperature warms up in Australia and we start to bare our skin. Which were the most exciting of them all? I reveal them to you now. Continue Reading

It seems that there is an ongoing search party for the ultimate secret weapon to slow down the natural process of ageing once and for all. And just when you thought nature had given up everything for science, the latest studies have shined the spotlight on the humble red grape. Not only are red grapes delicious, but they have blessed us with red wine and through that conversion process an abundance of antioxidants known as Resveratrol are produced.

So, we have all heard the research about red wine being good for our health, but did you know Resveratrol has been discovered to be the new super ingredient in an ever-sought-after anti-ageing formula? We spoke with New York celebrity plastic surgeon, Dr Vincent Giampapa, who revealed five things we need to know about Resveratrol. Continue Reading

Celebrity Beauty

Celebrities are often thrust into a position of being publicly ridiculed for their looks but despite this some celebrities not only embrace it but actually turn it into a business. I think it’s genius if you can take your position of being a face for beauty and turn that into a business venture, and that’s what these 7 female celebrities have done. Interestingly it’s also worth noting just how many celebrities care about being cruelty-free. From makeup to sunless tanning, these smoking hot women know how to market their unique beauty to the masses.  Continue Reading

Swisse Beauty Superfood Powder

Vitamins and dietary supplements promoting an improved aesthetic have been around for decades. Imedeen has Time Perfection, a product to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles; Blackmores has Nails, Hair and Skin supplements, which claims to improve the strength of all three of its namesake; and Arbonne has RE9 Advanced Collagen Support, to improve skin health and function. The beauty supplement market is bursting with capsules and tablets, but we really haven’t seen it come in the form of a power before. Swisse have recently taken a daring step by introducing a range of 6 superfood powders to assist with the most common concerns humans have – Vitality, Immunity, Digestion, Relax, Cleanse and Beauty. I have been trialling the Beauty powder and have my findings to share with you in this review.  Continue Reading

Environ Ionzyme C-Quence Eye GelI usually don’t have a preference over formula when it comes to eye products. Eye cream, eye serum, eye gel – they are all good to me, but I must admit that there is nothing quite like the feeling of a cool gel on tired, puffy eyes. It is so refreshing and it has the power to snap life back into the deadest of eyes. I have been working pretty hard of late so that is why I decided to give the Ionzyme C-Quence eye gel a try from Environ. How did it perform? Read my review to find out. Continue Reading

In-Home Massage Soothe App Review

Have you had a professional massage in your own home? It was a concept I thought was reserved for rich housewives and high-flying executives. To my surprise, however, massage is no longer a luxury as it’s becoming an essential part of self-care. Hunching over computers and mobile devices, less daily movement and exercise …. our bodies are suffering. Massage is one of the easiest ways to reduce pain and stress from mounting up in our body, but with busier lives comes less time for self care.

I’ve always dreamt of having a massage therapist come to me, and I’ve looked into it many times over the last few years. I tried to find a reliable and certified massage therapist who offered in-home massage and didn’t charge a crazy price but that always seemed to be just out of reach. Then, I heard that Soothe had launched in Australia. An app that turns massage into an on-demand service. Will my Soothe app review reveal an answer to my prayers? Read on to find out!
