Fillerina review with before and after photos by beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries

I have been dying to share this Fillerina review with you for so many reasons. I’m so excited to reveal to you my thoughts and my before and after photos that I could burst. But why is this review so important? Put simply, it could save you making a big mistake!

Hyaluronic Acid fillers for anti-wrinkle and volumizing injections are now trending so much that even girls as young as 16 years old are undergoing regular treatments. I’m a vocal advocate for cosmetic enhancement and surgery but I can’t stress enough that those measures really should only be sought as the last of a series of other options. The problem with injectables is that you have to maintain them because once you stop you end up looking worse than when you started – aging doesn’t stop, it’s just not as visible when you run interference.

In my opinion, the longer you can go without using an injectable the better it is for your aging appearance overall. Treat your canvas well and you won’t need to fork out a few hundred dollars each month. My Fillerina review explains how this topically-applied volumising gel could be what you need to avoid the needle.  Continue Reading

The Plastic Diaries beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries sharing Fake Tan Removal expert advice and tips.

We should all be educated enough now to know that a fake tan is the ONLY form of tan that is “healthy”. A natural sun tan is not only aging but also very damaging to the structure and health of our skin. One of the downsides to using a fake tan is that they can become rather unappealing as they fade or we want to remove them. The best way to avoid that hideous patchy tan is to remove it and apply a fresh one before the signs of wear show.

Pinterest and social media love to share DIY recipes for making your own fake tan removal solution but is it safe? Are household cleaners or foods from the grocery store the most effective method? I asked professional makeup artist and co-founder of ANTHEIA Beauty, Brie Stevenson, to give us the hard truths. If you wear fake tan, you need to read this!  Continue Reading

FOA Cosmetics Tinted Moisturiser Review

One of my long-time favourite Australian brands is Face of Australia. I’ve been using their products for years and they used to be a strong, reliable producer of certified cruelty-free cosmetic products. However, things have changed dramatically in the past couple years and it has saddened me. They ditched the cruelty-free certification (which makes their status a mystery as you are purely taking them on their word), promotion of new releases has been silent and their website is in desperate need of a makeover. Despite my own little pet peeves I feel going on, I can’t help but been drawn to their products when I do see them. For that reason, I will continue to review their cosmetics for now.

One of their more recent releases were an updated line of Tinted Moisturisers, now with SPF50+ as opposed to their earlier SPF30+ product. I’m not keen on tinted moisturisers generally because the tints are usually too dark for my skin or they appear muddy. I wanted to try the Face of Australia Tinted Moisturiser anyway as the appeal of an SPF50 was strong for me. Would this one be any different? Could this be the tinted moisturiser game changer?  Continue Reading
