Beauty shopping haul from New York via The Plastic Diaries

Shopping in the USA will never get old for me. I will never bore of it, even if every single brand they sell there comes to Australia. I can’t put it in to words exactly what I like about shopping there but I can show you the fruits of my labour. It was only in May I got to share with you my first 2014 beauty haul from the USA but shock horror I got even more during my New York trip for Fashion Week.

The new and improved Complete Salon Manicure by Sally Hansen made my list of new launch favourites in February. Since then I have been playing around with the overwhelming 42 new shades and have my first ombre NOTD to show you. I used to be a real lazy bum when it came to painting my nails. I thought 2-3 coats of lacquer was all I needed, and then I would moan when it chipped or cracked. Over the last few months I have been experimenting with base coats and top coats, which now I would never go without, but it wasn’t easy finding one I liked.

When I came across this Orly base coat I really liked the sound of it. The name alone, Bonder, sounds exactly like what I was looking for. Something to bond my nails to the lacquer. Continue Reading
