Supergoop Anti-Aging City Sunscreen Serum

Sunscreen is my desert island beauty product. There is no way I will go anywhere or do anything without it. I fell in love with Supergoop when I tried a sample of their Save Face moisturizer but upon seeing the anti-aging City Sunscreen Serum I thought that may be more suited to my aging skin so I picked it up along with a bunch of other Supergoop products during my recent USA beauty haul. Will this one stack up to my original love? My review below has the answer. Continue Reading

Philosophy When Hope Is Not Enough Facial Firming Serum

You may know Philosophy for their yummy shower gels, cute product names and inspirational messages, but don’t confuse them for a company that has token skincare products with no results. Behind the beautiful messaging of the products sits hard working skincare goods. If you are looking to try a new skincare brand or range, I always think a serum is a good place to start. A serum is usually the most hard working product in a line so if you find a serum works for you chances are the other products won’t be too bad either.

When Hope Is Not Enough forms part of the “Hope” line, which is one of the many skincare ranges in Philosophy’s collection. My review today is of the Facial Firming Serum. Read on to see what this product did and didn’t do for me. Continue Reading

How To Make Your Skincare Work Overtime

If you care about your looks or worry about ageing, even the slightest amount, you should be using skincare products. Everyone has different concerns, needs and preferences but the one common factor for us all is that there are skincare products designed to help us. The unfortunate part is that even if you are using a skincare product that aligns with all your important factors, the product still may not necessarily work for you or you may just stop seeing results after continued use. This doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with the skincare product per se, but it could be how your skin is receiving it that is giving you less than ideal results. The good news is that there are lots of things you can do to give your skincare regime a kick up the butt and get it working overtime, and I am going to show you how.  Continue Reading

Best Vegan Skincare Brands

Everyone has their own opinion on what skincare should do and be, but for me it’s all about aiming for perfection. I don’t want skincare that does the bare minimum and let’s me age gracefully. I only want to use skincare that WORKS – constantly improving my skin and getting it to function at it’s very best. That’s why I’m sharing with you the best vegan skincare brands.

People often confuse my choice to be vegan as somehow meaning I don’t care about my aesthetics any more. They couldn’t be more wrong! My strict standards for top performing skincare isn’t lessened by my cruelty-free choices. If anything, it makes my standards even higher.

There’s a misconception that cruelty-free and vegan skincare is unable subpar; that they’re less effective than animal-based skincare formulations. While this may have been the case decades ago when vegan skincare exclusively meant “natural” products with little to no scientific basis, skincare development has come a long way since then. Don’t get me wrong, there are still hundreds of natural skincare brands out there that do exactly what I don’t want – they don’t improve your skin, they just make it feel and smell nice – and there is a market for those. Not everyone is deathly afraid of aging like me. However, if you strive for clear, healthy and progressively improving skin despite the years passing us by, than I have exactly what you need.

My list of top performing skincare brands will introduce you to the changemakers. The hard-working, highly efficient skincare that allows you to take charge of your own aging appearance. And it just so happens they’re also the best vegan skincare brands too!  Continue Reading
