NIVEA Sensitive Protect Deodorant Aerosol

Every time I review a NIVEA deodorant it always seems to be the same story. The last one I tried was Pearl & Beauty which I had high hopes for but in the end it didn’t tick all the boxes. The problem is that the NIVEA deodorants never seem to actually stop me from producing sweat, but each time they come out with a new one I get caught up in how slick the cans are and how they always seem to appeal to a problem I have. I have tried the aerosol and roll-on varieties many times but it is just something that doesn’t match with my body chemistry. When the new Sensitive Protect deodorants came out, and I read it was designed to help reduce rashes, I had to give it a try. My underarms are usually one of my most painful areas when my skin breaks out with an allergy so I was hoping this deodorant could work some magic.

I have been using Sensitive Protect aerosol deodorant for over a month and I am ready to share my review. Will it stop my itching AND hold back the sweat? Read on to find out.  Continue Reading

There is something so lavish about a skincare line that is used in spas. I love a trip to the spa and I love it even more if I can bring home a little piece of it with me. Kerstin Florian (the lady herself) has over 40 years experience in spas so it isn’t a shock that her self-named line of skincare products are a spa exclusive. The line only arrived in Australia for the first time this year so I had never heard of it before. I wanted to try something simple for my first experience so I have chosen the popular Complete Daily Cleanser from the Correcting range to review.  Continue Reading

August is nearly over but I couldn’t let the month fly by without sharing my favourite new release beauty products that went on sale. It was a big month for new releases, with over 75 new beauty products crossing my desk and for the first time in months I actually have favourites in all beauty categories!

This is going to be a big one so let’s just get straight into it ….  Continue Reading

Until recently I had never heard of the brand Pevonia Botanica, but since they have been all over Twitter lately it is hard to avoid them. Now that I have read more about them, I was keen to try some of their products and the first one on the chopping block for review is their Dry Oil Body Moisturizer. I was drawn to this because of its pump bottle, but is that enough for me to call it a winner?

I have done a few reviews in the past on different facial cleansing wipes, including WOTNOT and Clean & Clear, but I always like to share new finds. This time, it is the Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes from the Nivea Visage Daily Essentials range.

Despite my love for skincare and taking the time to apply my 12 assorted creams and serums twice a day, there are some nights I just can’t be bothered. We all have them don’t we. It is late, or I am drunk, or in a bad mood, or I didn’t eat dinner until 9pm so now I am just bloated and need to lie down ….. I have an excuse for everything. So on those nights, I reach for a facial cleansing wipe. I also like to use facial cleansing wipes to remove majority of my makeup before using a regular cleanser. I believe the latter mentioned use of these wipes is why I go through so many packets each month. Oh well, just gives me more chances to review the new ones.

Female Hair Loss Before and After

Female hair loss and hair thinning are a growing sector within the beauty market. I used to think female hair loss was a beauty issue and as such could be treated with beauty products. Self-inflicted hair loss is my most common concern. I blamed my tight braids, hair irons and chemical damage. However, the fact remains that the leading causes for female hair loss are health related.

When my normal amount of hair fall dramatically increased, with noticeable receding of my hairline, I panicked. I didn’t know where to begin with treating it but I couldn’t understand why it was happening. I’d stop styling my hair in tight do’s, I rarely heat style and I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 2 years. I ruled out self-inflicted hair loss so I went straight to my GP (doctor) to ask for advice. It turns out that my female hair loss was completely reversible for less than $20!  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Trefiel Lace Face Mask, Moisturising sheet mask skincare.

If you follow beauty on Instagram it’s highly likely you’ve seen the Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask. They look like a piece of black lace, often seen adorning the faces of cute beauty influencers. What they actually are is a range of sheet masks. Really pretty sheet masks.

The Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask is available in four formulations – Moisturising, Brightening, Repairing and Toning. Trefiel initially launched with just the Moisturising mask but later rebranded and added 3 more masks to the line-up. I chose to review their original Moisturising Face Mask.  Continue Reading
