Do you love a Polished Man? I sure do! A man who isn’t afraid to fight for change and be a voice to those who don’t have one … that’s damn sexy.

If you’re already familiar with The Plastic Diaries you know I have trouble keeping quiet about the big issues facing humankind, but rarely have I attempted to speak to a male audience. However, the month of October sees the continuation of a relatively new (but rapidly growing) annual initiative and I for one want to get behind it. Baby Orangutan for World Orangutan Day

Today is World Orangutan Day and I’m taking this opportunity to deliver something so many of you have been asking for. Palm Oil is a widely used ingredient in the food and cosmetic industries but increased awareness about this ingredient has led to many people (myself included) avoiding the purchase of any product containing it. I will compile a more thorough investigative piece about Palm Oil just as I did about animal testing but I suspect that today you will be more educated through countless other avenues about Palm Oil.

Robin McGraw

I love Dr Phil and Mrs Dr Phil (aka Robin McGraw). They would have to be my favourite TV couple of all time. One thing I especially love about Robin McGraw is how perfectly immaculate she has always been, even from day 1 when the Dr Phil show had little budget and she had to style herself. Her makeup is flawless, her skin radiant and she knows how to use cosmetic enhancement in her favour. It’s little surprise that Robin has decided to create her own skincare line but it’s how this came about that really resonates with me.

In an interview with WWD, Robin spoke of her desire to look after herself after a personal devastation nearly 30 years ago – the loss of her mother.  Continue Reading
