The Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign is an amazing initiative to get woman to grow their hair long and strong, then donate to have it turned into a free wig for cancer patients. In the USA, Pantene USA have been running this campaign since 2006 in conjunction with the American Cancer Society. To date they have distributed over 24,000 free real-hair wigs through the American Cancer Society wig banks. Now the campaign has come to Australia and in conjunction with Look Good … Feel Better, Pantene Australia hope to break the record of free wigs created and distributed across Australia AND New Zealand.

Yesterday, I participated by cutting my hair off and donating my ponytail. Today I want to share with you why I did it, and my journey in video and pictures. Continue Reading

All my life I have owned a power toothbrush. Admittedly I didn’t always use it the way it was meant to be used (ok, that sounds wrong!). For a long time I didn’t have a power point in my bathroom so when I would forget to put it back on charge I would just use it as a normal toothbrush. I guess that defeated the purpose of it being a ‘power’ toothbrush.

I was originally using the Continue Reading

Over the past few months I have been testing out this really cool product. When I first heard about it I was so excited because word was that it could temporarily soften fine lines and puffiness. Now like most women I had thought I had those problems. I swear I had crows feet and if you gave me a 12x enhanced mirror I could show you them …. Continue Reading

Today is really special for me as my Mum has done her very own review to share with you. Just like me she is not a writer and wanted to do this review out of sheer love for the product. The lovely people at Be Genki sent my mother some beautiful gifts from the Be Genki range after I made a purchase for her (stay tuned, the purchase is on pre-order and I can’t wait to share it with you!). My mother was over the moon to receive a Continue Reading

Best Vegan Skincare Brands

Everyone has their own opinion on what skincare should do and be, but for me it’s all about aiming for perfection. I don’t want skincare that does the bare minimum and let’s me age gracefully. I only want to use skincare that WORKS – constantly improving my skin and getting it to function at it’s very best. That’s why I’m sharing with you the best vegan skincare brands.

People often confuse my choice to be vegan as somehow meaning I don’t care about my aesthetics any more. They couldn’t be more wrong! My strict standards for top performing skincare isn’t lessened by my cruelty-free choices. If anything, it makes my standards even higher.

There’s a misconception that cruelty-free and vegan skincare is unable subpar; that they’re less effective than animal-based skincare formulations. While this may have been the case decades ago when vegan skincare exclusively meant “natural” products with little to no scientific basis, skincare development has come a long way since then. Don’t get me wrong, there are still hundreds of natural skincare brands out there that do exactly what I don’t want – they don’t improve your skin, they just make it feel and smell nice – and there is a market for those. Not everyone is deathly afraid of aging like me. However, if you strive for clear, healthy and progressively improving skin despite the years passing us by, than I have exactly what you need.

My list of top performing skincare brands will introduce you to the changemakers. The hard-working, highly efficient skincare that allows you to take charge of your own aging appearance. And it just so happens they’re also the best vegan skincare brands too!  Continue Reading
