Mesoestetic Dermatological Sun Protection

I started playing with the Mesoestetic sunscreen just before my trip to Bali. The high rated protection against UVA and UVB is exactly what I look for during the sunshine of Spring/Summer but like all sunscreen, each one can look and feel very different. I believe finding the right sunscreen for you is as vital as breathing oxygen, so don’t give up wearing it if you haven’t found one you like the look or feel of.

Mesoestetic is a high-performing cosmeceutical brand. Their professional products are used in skin clinics all over the world but few people know about their home-use products. This sunscreen is from the Home Performance line and a great starting point to get introduced to the brand.  Continue Reading

Sunscreen For Summer Travel

Possibly the one thing that was easy for me to pack for my trip to Bali was sunscreen. I love sunscreen and I use it everyday but going for an island getaway where I know there will be activities such as swimming means I have to factor in more protection than required when I am sitting in my office each day. I took that as my license to bring multiples.

Here are the sunscreens accompanying me on my holiday. Surely half a dozen will cover it?  Continue Reading

Priori Advanced AHA Gentle Facial Cleanser with LCA Complex

A gentle cleanser for everyday use is an essential for everyone. No matter what skin type you have, you should have one within easy reach that gently cleanses the skin, removes makeup, and is free of fragrance. Priori’s Advanced AHA Gentle Facial Cleanser works on that premise but boasts the power to do a whole lot more as well. Can a gentle everyday face wash improve your skin and help prevent aging? That is the claim and I put it to the test for this review. Continue Reading

O Cosmedics is a fairly new Australian skincare brand which officially launched August 2011. They are 100% Australian owned and made which is always something that makes me proud. The O Cosmedics skincare line is designed to be prescription only and it uses the purest medical grade ingredients combined with the most potent natural ingredients. It is a unique concept and even though the line isn’t massive (about 15 products) but the offering is concise for particular skin needs and concerns. I am reviewing the Gentle Antioxidant Cleanser because antioxidant’s are something we all need, no matter how good your skin is! Continue Reading

Best Vegan Skincare Brands

Everyone has their own opinion on what skincare should do and be, but for me it’s all about aiming for perfection. I don’t want skincare that does the bare minimum and let’s me age gracefully. I only want to use skincare that WORKS – constantly improving my skin and getting it to function at it’s very best. That’s why I’m sharing with you the best vegan skincare brands.

People often confuse my choice to be vegan as somehow meaning I don’t care about my aesthetics any more. They couldn’t be more wrong! My strict standards for top performing skincare isn’t lessened by my cruelty-free choices. If anything, it makes my standards even higher.

There’s a misconception that cruelty-free and vegan skincare is unable subpar; that they’re less effective than animal-based skincare formulations. While this may have been the case decades ago when vegan skincare exclusively meant “natural” products with little to no scientific basis, skincare development has come a long way since then. Don’t get me wrong, there are still hundreds of natural skincare brands out there that do exactly what I don’t want – they don’t improve your skin, they just make it feel and smell nice – and there is a market for those. Not everyone is deathly afraid of aging like me. However, if you strive for clear, healthy and progressively improving skin despite the years passing us by, than I have exactly what you need.

My list of top performing skincare brands will introduce you to the changemakers. The hard-working, highly efficient skincare that allows you to take charge of your own aging appearance. And it just so happens they’re also the best vegan skincare brands too!  Continue Reading
