Butter London Vegan Beauty Products

Since publishing the vegan product lists for Jane Iredale and ModelCo I’ve received lots of requests from you to publish more brand-specific vegan lists. I’m excited to deliver you yet another brand many of you have been requesting, butter LONDON.

The cruelty-free status and vegan product information for butter LONDON is a little interesting because they don’t hold any certifications, they don’t publish a statement on their website about their animal testing policy and a number of cruelty-free resources (Vegan ClawsLogical Harmony, Vegan Beauty Review) have stated they’re vegan. For some of you, including myself, we weren’t completely satisfied with that so I’ve gone straight to the company to ask for the information.  Continue Reading

How To Beat Bad Beauty Habits

Beauty bloggers may know how to online shop like its their job and keep their stuff organised, but they have bad habits too. Beauty bloggers are just humans. Despite the pedestal society has put some of us on, the majority of us are proud to be real women. With this in mind, I gathered my friends from Beauty Blog Coalition to share their bad beauty habits and what, if anything, they are trying to do about it.

We hope you see that we aren’t perfect robots, we are just women looking to be the best possible versions of ourselves.  Continue Reading

Burt's Bees The Classics Collection

This post is sponsored by Burt’s Bees

Choosing beauty products that work for you are an important part of taking care of yourself, but it isn’t the only aspect you should consider. Up until my mid-twenties the only thing I cared about was using products that showed results with immediate use. I didn’t care about the brand, the morals or policies they had in place, how it effected the environment or people. As I’ve matured I’ve learnt that being wise about your purchases means you don’t have to compromise on what’s important to you. You can have great products, that work, and that align with your own values.

Natural ingredients are becoming increasingly important to me but it’s something that Burt’s Bees mastered almost 30 years ago. The globally-renowned brand uses nature to create skincare that works, processing them in the simplest way to deliver maximum results. You can actually spell and pronounce their ingredients, a rarity in most beauty products today.

The certified cruelty-free brand offers products that have lasted the test of time. There are 6 perfect, shining examples of the quality you find in Burt’s Bees. PLUS, you can enter their competition to win one of their award winning classic products. First, get to know them all but be warned, once you try them I assure you it will be the start of a budding romance with Burt and his bees. Continue Reading

CND Special Edition Scent SolarOil

CND SolarOil is a cult product for a reason …. it works. SolarOil has remained one of my preferred cuticle oils since I discovered it years ago, but I have to admit I have never really been a fan of the scent. At first I actually hated it but I got used to it and now it is barely noticeable, however, if it were up to me I would have changed the fragrance it a long time ago. It would seem CND were on this wave length because they have released a very special edition of their award winning SolarOil in a delightful new scent. Does my nose and nails rate it? Tangle Teezer and Dessata hairbrushes

Detangling hairbrushes are available from just about everywhere now but when it comes to trusted brands there are a few to choose from. In this post I’ve got Tangle Teezer vs Dessata in a battle of the detangling brushes. Both are priced almost identically (here in Australian anyway) so which brush is worth your dollars?

For this battle I’ve selected the Tangle Teezer The Original to go up against the Dessata Maxi Detangling Brush. I own three Tangle Teezer brushes – The Original, Compact Styler and Aqua Splash – but for this post I’m comparing The Original as it’s the most popular model. Read on to find out which might be the best detangling brush for you.  Continue Reading
