Johnsons-Daily-Essentials-Refreshing-Facial-Cleansing-Wipes-300x262

Winter is when I am at my laziness peak. I am feeling so lazy right now I can barely write this review. So you can imagine just how lazy I am when it comes to removing my makeup each evening when all I want to do is crawl under my blankets. I do know better though, and no matter what I want to do I know that removing my makeup is essential before hitting the pillow. But no where did it say I have to drench myself with water trying to wash my face over a sink. No, no, I am allowed to cheat with face cleansing wipes and so are you.

The wipes I have just finished were the Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes from Johnson’s. I really regret choosing ones that were titled “Refreshing” because that is definitely what I didn’t need at midnight in the freezing cold, but that was the hand I dealt myself. I will explain in more detail in my review but let’s just say you want to leave these ones for warmer weather.  Continue Reading

Bedside Table Beauty

I know I am going on and on about winter lately but it seems to be especially cold really early this year. We are barely out of Autumn but the morning and evening temperature have me digging out the gloves, scarves and sleep socks. It also means I have been pulling out the fail-safe cold weather beauty essentials and keeping them within arms reach.

Today I want to share with you what beauty products you will find on my bedside table if you walk into my bed room right now. Continue Reading

I have done a few reviews in the past on different facial cleansing wipes, including WOTNOT and Clean & Clear, but I always like to share new finds. This time, it is the Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes from the Nivea Visage Daily Essentials range.

Despite my love for skincare and taking the time to apply my 12 assorted creams and serums twice a day, there are some nights I just can’t be bothered. We all have them don’t we. It is late, or I am drunk, or in a bad mood, or I didn’t eat dinner until 9pm so now I am just bloated and need to lie down ….. I have an excuse for everything. So on those nights, I reach for a facial cleansing wipe. I also like to use facial cleansing wipes to remove majority of my makeup before using a regular cleanser. I believe the latter mentioned use of these wipes is why I go through so many packets each month. Oh well, just gives me more chances to review the new ones.

Female Hair Loss Before and After

Female hair loss and hair thinning are a growing sector within the beauty market. I used to think female hair loss was a beauty issue and as such could be treated with beauty products. Self-inflicted hair loss is my most common concern. I blamed my tight braids, hair irons and chemical damage. However, the fact remains that the leading causes for female hair loss are health related.

When my normal amount of hair fall dramatically increased, with noticeable receding of my hairline, I panicked. I didn’t know where to begin with treating it but I couldn’t understand why it was happening. I’d stop styling my hair in tight do’s, I rarely heat style and I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 2 years. I ruled out self-inflicted hair loss so I went straight to my GP (doctor) to ask for advice. It turns out that my female hair loss was completely reversible for less than $20!  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Trefiel Lace Face Mask, Moisturising sheet mask skincare.

If you follow beauty on Instagram it’s highly likely you’ve seen the Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask. They look like a piece of black lace, often seen adorning the faces of cute beauty influencers. What they actually are is a range of sheet masks. Really pretty sheet masks.

The Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask is available in four formulations – Moisturising, Brightening, Repairing and Toning. Trefiel initially launched with just the Moisturising mask but later rebranded and added 3 more masks to the line-up. I chose to review their original Moisturising Face Mask.  Continue Reading
