Best Websites To Book Travel

I’m a keen traveller but half the fun for me is deciding where to go, how to get there and what to do once I’m there. I like 5-star, luxury travel all the way but I’m also a bargain hunter by nature. These two personality traits combined can be a nightmare when booking a trip but doing it myself mens I have full control over what I select, and I can make sure I get the best possible price. I’m a travel agents worst nightmare. I want the very best of everything while saving every penny I can, so how do I get the vacation I want? I utilise a bunch of websites to find the best deals for flights, accomodation and activities. I’m sharing them with you in hopes it helps you to get out there and experience the world a little more.

There is so much to see and do in our short lifetime. Step out of your comfort zone and you’ll be amazed what you discover.  Continue Reading

Beauty Sample Box gift idea tutorial

A thoughtful gift is always the best kind of gift to give and receive. It shows a person that you really have thought about them, what they like and what would bring them joy. One of my go-to gift ideas for special occasions and the holidays is to assemble gift bags or gift boxes containing little bits and pieces the person will like. In 2011 I showed you my DIY Mother’s Day gift bag but after seeing Kendra of Citizen of Beauty share her cute Christmas gift idea I thought I should give you an update on what I’ve been doing currently.

I have a lot of girlfriends who don’t really keep up with the latest and greatest in beauty (if only they had a friend who wrote a blog about it!) so I take the opportunity to introduce them to awesome new products with my DIY beauty box gifts. Assembling something personal for them becomes less about dollar value and more about the time and thought you spent on them. While I was wrapping one up for a friend, I thought I would share with you exactly how to create one.  Continue Reading

Grace Choi Presents Mink 3D Makeup Printer

Could you imagine a high-tech world where we can print out our colour cosmetics just like we do currently with paper. Can you picture yourself snapping a photo, picking a colour you like and printing it out into an eyeshadow pan instead of forking out cash (or card in my case) to buy it from a retailer? It sounds like a fantasy but one young woman has presented her concept that could become a reality. Grace Choi, a graduate from Harvard Business School has publicly stated that the beauty industry is a bunch of “bulls#!t”. Choi says that we could all be DIY-ing our cosmetics and put an end to these big cosmetic companies. Is she right? Is she wrong?

Whether you have heard all about this story or not, I’m going to tell you why printing your own makeup is not going to be a reality for quite sometime, and I may never want it to be.  Continue Reading

How To Remove Gel Nails Header

Like most women, I love going to the nail salon to get my gel nails applied but when it comes time to removing them I can never be bothered going back just to have someone else take them off. Removing them DIY at home can be risky because that is when damage to the nail is more likely to occur, however, if you do it correctly you can keep your nice long new nails without any tears. Today I am going to share my tutorial on how I remove my Bio Sculpture gel nails at home, and I will be doing it to the awesome Missoni inspired gel NOTD. This technique can be applied to any gel nails, shellac, gel-polish hybrids and to even remove glitter nail polish (life saver!!).  Continue Reading

E Mani-Cam

E! Channel changed the lives of many women one day back in 2012. It was during their live red carpet coverage of the 2012 Emmy Awards that Giuliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest asked the celebrities to show of their nails in the revolutionary Mani-Cam, a miniature red carpet just for nails. Today I am going to share my tutorial on how to make your very own Mani-Cam. It isn’t something for everyone, but if you love painting your nails or perhaps you create some nail art you want to show off to your friends, this little DIY project can be some fun in your spare time.
