Australia Post Shoes Parcels

If you don’t know by now, I’m a huge advocate for online shopping. It’s convenient, crowd-free, ‘prams & strollers running over your feet’ free, you can shop at any time, in any place and wearing whatever you want. I’ve been online shopping since I got my very own credit card but back then no Australian website dare had their own online store. Today things are a completely different picture.

Online shopping finally reached mainstream status early in 2013 with Australians who don’t buy something online now being classed as the minority, according to leading research company Roy Morgan. As a personal witness to just how much things have changed over the last 10 or so years I want to share interesting tidbits about online shopping in Australia.

Which sites do Australians shop from the most? What are Australians buying online? Which Australian online stores do I love? Read on to find all this out plus more.  Continue Reading

It may be summer down under but for our friends up north it is the countdown to hopefully a White Christmas. I have ALWAYS wanted to experience a real life white christmas like the show on the movies, except I live in Australia and I am Jewish. If you can’t have a real winter wonderland to experience than the second best thing would have to be wearing one ….. on your nails, of course!

Todays guest post comes from Miss L at Beauty by Miss L. She does wonderful nail art and today we are lucky to have her share this special NOTD.  Continue Reading

Despite my lack of skills in the field, I am utterly captivated by Nail Art. No, not tacky, weird nail art on 6-inch acrylics. I am talking about nail art that makes you go “OMG look at that! You are so talented”. I say that exact phrase to myself everytime I read the blogs The Daily Nail and Cosmetic Cupcake.

When you combine my love of shopping with my nail art infatuation, you get an uncontrollable urge to buy nail art supplies. This time however, I am not to blame. Well, kind of.

The following haul you are about to witness was actually purchase by my mother. I have now well and truly passed on my infatuation to her, and this has manifested in her trawling eBay to find cool deals for me. We all know this is a bad idea, but I got to say, when the little parcels arrive with foreign writing on them, I get a little too excited. This is what she bought for me most recently.

18 Bottles of Steel Bead Bearings

The little bottles are so cute and measure about an inch tall with the lid on. The beads themselves are super-duper tiny. Full-stops on this blog post are bigger than the actual beads.

Colours (L-R): Aqua, Blue, Lime Green, Olive Green, Emerald Green, Turquoise, Cream, Champagne, Gold, Orange, Brown, Red, Pale Pink, Pink, Fuchsia, Purple, Navy Blue, Black

Mom’s Reason For Buying: “Look how cute the bottles are!!”

I am going to make this a quick post for a few reasons. Firstly, these items are LIMITED EDITION. Secondly, they went on sale last November (yeah I know, little delayed, I will address that in a minute). Thirdly, there are still a few for sale and if you like the sound of them after reading my review, you will need to action straight away!!

Ok so I am a quite behind in telling you about these but it was for a good reason. You see, when your addicted to cosmetics as much as I am, sometimes you collate things and put them in a ‘safe’ spot so they don’t get lost or damaged until you have some time to swatch them. Then occasionally you forget you even created a ‘safe’ spot until you are trying to relocate your entire office. Right? Well, that is exactly what happened and I am soooo sorry because Continue Reading

Ok, you know I love Make Up For Ever (if you didn’t you must be a new reader, Welcome!), so when I saw this kit on Sephora just before new years, I HAD to have it. No questions asked. I finally got it the other day with my new Sephora haul. Unfortunately, by the time I got it (2 months later) they were no longer available and I can’t find it on any of the Sephora websites. Not cool Sephora. But, then again, that is the whole point of a limited edition I guess. Ok, I love you again Sephora.
Oh but WAIT, before you close this screen, all the colours I am going to show you are available individually, and I may have a couple other ways for you to get your hands on it. So all is not lost. Stick with me, I know you will love them!

Professional beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries shares her personal blogger burnout story and experience

This article is Part 1 of a three-part series about my personal experience with Blogger Burnout – My Demise + My Recovery + My Future

I started The Plastic Diaries in 2008, became a full-time blogger in 2010 and vanished from the blogging universe in 2015. Where did I go? Why? What happened to me? These are questions that have been asked of me during my 18+ month disappearance. The short answer was blogger burnout – a rarely spoken of condition that is fast becoming a serious concern amongst the influencer industry. Have you ever followed a blogger and notice that one day they have just disappeared? Their blog stopped posting new content, their social media went untouched – it happens often. In my almost 9 years of blogging I have lost count of the bloggers that have come and gone, most of which I have no idea why or where they went.

Upon my return to blogging at the end of last year I’ve put off explaining what exactly occurred in my life. I confided in a few select friends and trusted individuals about my story but I’ve brushed over it with the wider community by saying the cause was “personal stuff”. I don’t believe bloggers owe anyone an explanation when they disappear but I know that when my favourites have gone AWOL I’ve missed them and been concerned for their wellbeing. I didn’t want to be another blogger who vanished without a trace and leave you wondering. I also believe Continue Reading
