I am going to keep this post brief today because I want to you, my fellow beauties and kind folk, to act on this great campaign.

We all know how much we love our beauty products, and if you are anything like me, you will sometimes feel that the money you spend on lip gloss and perfume could be going to a much more worthy cause. I definitely feel the guilt (occasionally) so when a beauty company steps out and decides to help a good cause with no extra expense to us consumers, I am elated.

In my true lazy, careless style, I won’t bore you with too much details but let me start by saying water is something we all take for granted. I know I do and I know many others do as well. I personally choose not to drink water because I do not like the taste. Could you imagine me saying that to a poor child who doesn’t even have access to water? What about a person who has only been able to drink mud or sewerage their entire life? I am sure I would be shot …. if they had a gun. If only there were a way for me to give my share of water to those people I would do it. Thanks to Giorgio Armani, I now can.

One of my favourite fragrances for myself is Acqua Di Gioia, and on a man I LOVE Acqua Di Gio, both by Giorgio Armani. Now when I buy either of those fragrances I will be giving drinking water to those who desperately need it, and I want you to join me.

How Does It Work

Head into any department store or authorised Giorgio Armani retailer and purchase a bottle of Acqua Di Gioia or Acqua Di Gio. Each bottle you buy gives a community access to 100 litres of drinking water. Buy 2 bottles, you give 200 litres. Easy.

Professional beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries shares her personal blogger burnout story and experience

This article is Part 1 of a three-part series about my personal experience with Blogger Burnout – My Demise + My Recovery + My Future

I started The Plastic Diaries in 2008, became a full-time blogger in 2010 and vanished from the blogging universe in 2015. Where did I go? Why? What happened to me? These are questions that have been asked of me during my 18+ month disappearance. The short answer was blogger burnout – a rarely spoken of condition that is fast becoming a serious concern amongst the influencer industry. Have you ever followed a blogger and notice that one day they have just disappeared? Their blog stopped posting new content, their social media went untouched – it happens often. In my almost 9 years of blogging I have lost count of the bloggers that have come and gone, most of which I have no idea why or where they went.

Upon my return to blogging at the end of last year I’ve put off explaining what exactly occurred in my life. I confided in a few select friends and trusted individuals about my story but I’ve brushed over it with the wider community by saying the cause was “personal stuff”. I don’t believe bloggers owe anyone an explanation when they disappear but I know that when my favourites have gone AWOL I’ve missed them and been concerned for their wellbeing. I didn’t want to be another blogger who vanished without a trace and leave you wondering. I also believe Continue Reading
