Best Websites To Book Travel

I’m a keen traveller but half the fun for me is deciding where to go, how to get there and what to do once I’m there. I like 5-star, luxury travel all the way but I’m also a bargain hunter by nature. These two personality traits combined can be a nightmare when booking a trip but doing it myself mens I have full control over what I select, and I can make sure I get the best possible price. I’m a travel agents worst nightmare. I want the very best of everything while saving every penny I can, so how do I get the vacation I want? I utilise a bunch of websites to find the best deals for flights, accomodation and activities. I’m sharing them with you in hopes it helps you to get out there and experience the world a little more.

There is so much to see and do in our short lifetime. Step out of your comfort zone and you’ll be amazed what you discover.  Continue Reading

The Spa at Sheraton Melbourne

When it’s cold outside and your back is giving you grief (probably because you are huddling next to a heater most of the day) there is nothing more relieving than a trip to a day spa for a massage. A spa is the perfect place to unwind, warm up and get pampered. During my staycation at Sheraton Melbourne I made sure I booked in for some R&R at The Spa. Did the massage treatment deliver what I needed? Read on to find out.  Continue Reading

Sheraton Melbourne Review

I recently moved from Sydney, my hometown and Australia’s biggest city, to Melbourne, Australia’s second biggest city. For most people who know very little about Australia you’ve probably only heard of Sydney and Melbourne – I won’t get into the battle over which is better but I will say if you are coming all this way you have to see both. I’ve lived in Melbourne previously but under very different circumstances. This move signified a fresh, new chapter in my life and I’m happy to say that it’s been a welcome change. However, even when you move somewhere you love there can still be a need to ‘escape’, especially if you have itchy travellers feet like I do.

The best thing you can do when you can’t get away is a staycation – a couple of nights in a hotel in your own city. I do this as often as I can because a goodnight’s sleep in a private hideaway is like pressing reboot for your system. It refreshes you, it energises you and you leave feeling better than when you entered. For my first Melbourne staycation I chose the brand new Sheraton Melbourne Hotel.  Continue Reading

Grafton on Sunset Hotel

The first part of my recent trip to the USA was spent in Dallas, Texas for a conference, which was great but entirely work. I wanted to get away for some me time afterwards so I booked an extra week in Los Angeles for a little shopping and to visit some friends. My budget was limited but I wanted to stay in the fabulous neighbourhood of West Hollywood. I decided to try somewhere new on this trip so I booked in at Grafton Hotel on Sunset after a recommendation from some travel industry people.

I spent 6 nights, 7 days at Grafton on Sunset and I’m happy to now share with you my review.  Continue Reading

The Joule Hotel Dallas Texas Review

My recent trip to the USA was in part to attend a blogging conference, held at The Joule Hotel in Dallas, Texas. As I do when I’m attending any conference, I choose to stay at the hosting hotel to make getting around easier. It allows me to keep focused on the job at hand rather than wasting time on traveling to/from the venue multiple times a day. After spending 4 days and 3 nights at The Joule Hotel I’m happy to share a review of my stay.  Continue Reading
