ECOCARE Organic Apple Honey Facial Cleansing Wipes

When I see something labelled “Organic Apple with Honey” I instantly think of breakfast foods. Oatmeal, porridge, granola, pancakes …. I think of anything excluding skincare but that is the very ingredients Ecocare use in their natural facial wipes. The labelling says they are biodegradable, hypoallergenic and fragrance free so they appealed to me, but I wasn’t sure how I would feel about using breakfast foods as a facial cleanser. Nevertheless, I put aside my hesitations and now I have a review for you.  Continue Reading

It is starting to warm up in Sydney, Australia and with summer not far away I decided to switch to a lighter body wash. I never used to be a sweaty person but as I am ageing I am finding it doesn’t take much to draw a sweat. Either that or the globe really is getting so much hotter than before. Maybe it is a little from Column A and a little from Column B. Nevertheless, today I am giving you my review of Restore Body Wash by Australian brand Innoxa.  Continue Reading

The hair removal posts are about to begin again as the southern hemisphere prepare for summer. Do you remember how much I raved about my Schick Intuition Pomegranate earlier this year? Well just in time for summer, Schick have released another hair-removing wonder.

What I Say ….

  • Easily the most impressive thing about this razor is the ‘natural’ elements. The packaging is eco-friendly and 100% recyclable.
  • The razor kit comes Continue Reading
Remember that itchy skin drama I told you about here, well I am happy to announce that my skin seems to be on the mend since starting use of this product.

The shower gel is very light and has a great scent that kind of reminds me of fresh cotton coming out of the dryer. Ok maybe not exactly like that but you get my point, its fresh and homely. The scent lasts while your washing but I am glad that it disappears once you rinse it off. I personally do not like a lingering body wash scent if I am going to be wearing perfume, it just confuses my nose. Continue Reading

Best Vegan Skincare Brands

Everyone has their own opinion on what skincare should do and be, but for me it’s all about aiming for perfection. I don’t want skincare that does the bare minimum and let’s me age gracefully. I only want to use skincare that WORKS – constantly improving my skin and getting it to function at it’s very best. That’s why I’m sharing with you the best vegan skincare brands.

People often confuse my choice to be vegan as somehow meaning I don’t care about my aesthetics any more. They couldn’t be more wrong! My strict standards for top performing skincare isn’t lessened by my cruelty-free choices. If anything, it makes my standards even higher.

There’s a misconception that cruelty-free and vegan skincare is unable subpar; that they’re less effective than animal-based skincare formulations. While this may have been the case decades ago when vegan skincare exclusively meant “natural” products with little to no scientific basis, skincare development has come a long way since then. Don’t get me wrong, there are still hundreds of natural skincare brands out there that do exactly what I don’t want – they don’t improve your skin, they just make it feel and smell nice – and there is a market for those. Not everyone is deathly afraid of aging like me. However, if you strive for clear, healthy and progressively improving skin despite the years passing us by, than I have exactly what you need.

My list of top performing skincare brands will introduce you to the changemakers. The hard-working, highly efficient skincare that allows you to take charge of your own aging appearance. And it just so happens they’re also the best vegan skincare brands too!  Continue Reading
