Suigo Rose HairSpa Shampoo Treatment

Less than a couple of months ago I shared my review of a rather unique hair salon treatment by Suigo known as the Natural Infused HairSpa. If you missed that post I do recommend jumping back to read it because today I am going to give you my review of the at-home maintenance HairSpa products. The concept behind the Rose HairSpa is to clarify and cleanse the scalp so that oxygen and the nutrients of the hair products can reach deep down into hair follicles, rebuilding weak or damaged hair.

The at-home Rose HairSpa range consists of a Gentle Shampoo, Gentle Conditioner and Energy Hair Treatment. I decided to use just the shampoo and treatment because I have very fine hair and using a conditioner as well as a treatment would be too rich. I often find treatments are versatile enough to be used in a short amount of time as conditioner or for a longer period as a hair treatment.

My salon experience was fabulous but would the at-home hair products do the treatment justice? Let’s find out. Continue Reading

Hair treatments go hi-tech with Suigo

How often do you go to the hairdresser just for a treatment? Not for a haircut or a style, just for a good dose of healthy hair therapy? If you are like me than the answer would be not at all. Occasionally I will get someone to do a treatment during a haircut appointment, but the health of my hair and scalp is never something I have been concerned with previously. For those of you who have been following this blog for a while, you may remember I started a quest earlier this year to thicken my limp, fine hair and to stop the shedding that would leave me knotted in a spiderweb of hair each time I washed it. Today I am here to tell you that I think I have found the solution to all my hair problems …. with Suigo!

Suigo (pronounced s-way-go) is a haircare and styling brand that was developed in Japan, but I had never heard of it until the Australian representative contacted me. After looking into what the rep claimed to be a revolutionary hair system, I thought it would be impossible to achieve the results they claimed. I am a realist but nevertheless I like to give new beauty inventions a try to see if the impossible could actually be possible. I will explain it further in my review but let me tell you now, I had to eat my words after experiencing it. AND I have a giveaway at the end so you can put your own hair to the test.

It seems my love for Lancôme is growing with each product I try. The quality just bowls me over and I wish I had discovered it sooner.

Teint Miracle was only launched late last year after 10 gruelling years of research. It was a worldwide effort for Lancôme to create this foundation, and they utilised their labs in France, Japan and the USA to get it done. As usual, I am going to avoid rambling on about the amazing things they discovered, and how this formula contains new particles that are different to their other foundations. Blah, blah, blah … boring. Let’s face it. You want to know if and why it is good or bad. Am I right? If not, oh well …. that is what I am going to tell you anyway!

Professional beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries shares her personal blogger burnout story and experience

This article is Part 1 of a three-part series about my personal experience with Blogger Burnout – My Demise + My Recovery + My Future

I started The Plastic Diaries in 2008, became a full-time blogger in 2010 and vanished from the blogging universe in 2015. Where did I go? Why? What happened to me? These are questions that have been asked of me during my 18+ month disappearance. The short answer was blogger burnout – a rarely spoken of condition that is fast becoming a serious concern amongst the influencer industry. Have you ever followed a blogger and notice that one day they have just disappeared? Their blog stopped posting new content, their social media went untouched – it happens often. In my almost 9 years of blogging I have lost count of the bloggers that have come and gone, most of which I have no idea why or where they went.

Upon my return to blogging at the end of last year I’ve put off explaining what exactly occurred in my life. I confided in a few select friends and trusted individuals about my story but I’ve brushed over it with the wider community by saying the cause was “personal stuff”. I don’t believe bloggers owe anyone an explanation when they disappear but I know that when my favourites have gone AWOL I’ve missed them and been concerned for their wellbeing. I didn’t want to be another blogger who vanished without a trace and leave you wondering. I also believe Continue Reading
