Posts in Kate Moss

Earlier last week I showed you the Kate Moss for Rimmel London eyeshadows. While they were pretty fabulous, I think todays pieces are way more exciting. However, that could be because I am totally loving lipstick right now.

Yep, todays post is about the brand spanking new Rimmel London lipsticks that were created by Kate Moss herself. If you ask me, she has perfect lips and I totally want her pout for myself. Accessing lippies made by the lady herself would obviously get me that much closer to my dream of being her, right?

Seriously, look at her lips. They are perfection.

The Colours

From what I can tell, the colour availability differs between countries. According to WWD, the collection includes 15 shades in total. So far, only the Rimmel London UK website has the collection up and it is only showing 7 shades. I know that Australia has 9 shades on offer, and at the moment the USA has zero as it is set to launch there in January 2012.

For now, I will just show you the colours I have, and as more information comes to light I will update you.

L-R: #05, #11, #14 and #15

#05

A soft strawberry pink shade. Opaque with one heavy swipe and leaves a soft pinky stain on the lips as it fades. There is quite a bit of noticeable shimmer upon fading, but when fresh it just looks like a healthy sheen.

Before #05
(I do not know what that black dot is. So annoying!)

After #05

#11

Berry pink red. Looks moist and somewhat sheer with the first swipe, but Continue Reading

Kate Moss. What can one say about Kate Moss. She is the rockstar model of England. Stunning at any age. Effortlessly gorgeous. Clearly, I want to be her.

Rimmel London has had a long-standing, loving relationship with Kate Moss, and it has worked fabulously for their brand. This month, that relationship has been taken a step further with Kate lending her skilled and very stylish eye to inspire Rimmel’s latest collection of eyeshadows, the Glam’Eyes Union Jack collection. Today I am going to show you two of the four new release palettes, along with my thoughts on them.

What I say….

Fresh, citrus and refreshing! This perfume embodies Kate’s natural understated glamour. The gorgeous bottle reminds me of the Perfume bottles from many decades ago with its soft colour and finely faceted front and sides.

I think I have found my new signature scent!

Professional beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries shares her personal blogger burnout story and experience

This article is Part 1 of a three-part series about my personal experience with Blogger Burnout – My Demise + My Recovery + My Future

I started The Plastic Diaries in 2008, became a full-time blogger in 2010 and vanished from the blogging universe in 2015. Where did I go? Why? What happened to me? These are questions that have been asked of me during my 18+ month disappearance. The short answer was blogger burnout – a rarely spoken of condition that is fast becoming a serious concern amongst the influencer industry. Have you ever followed a blogger and notice that one day they have just disappeared? Their blog stopped posting new content, their social media went untouched – it happens often. In my almost 9 years of blogging I have lost count of the bloggers that have come and gone, most of which I have no idea why or where they went.

Upon my return to blogging at the end of last year I’ve put off explaining what exactly occurred in my life. I confided in a few select friends and trusted individuals about my story but I’ve brushed over it with the wider community by saying the cause was “personal stuff”. I don’t believe bloggers owe anyone an explanation when they disappear but I know that when my favourites have gone AWOL I’ve missed them and been concerned for their wellbeing. I didn’t want to be another blogger who vanished without a trace and leave you wondering. I also believe Continue Reading
