MAC Pro store James St Covent Garden London

There are currently 34 MAC Pro stores across the globe, but none of them can compare to what MAC Cosmetics have for their latest London store. James Street in Convent Garden is a prime location for the new MAC Pro store. It is in the heart of London’s theater scene but more importantly, it is situated close to Somerset House (the headquarters for London Fashion Week).

The building most recently occupied by True Religion has undergone a classic MAC makeover. The store has an industrial vibe, with metal mesh walls and concrete floors. Fluorescent lighting highlights the walls and floor-to-ceiling mirrors add a sense of space. MAC global brand president, Karen Buglisi, had this to say about the new digs:  Continue Reading

We are now just days away from one of the serious ‘Fashion Weeks’ of the year. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York for Spring 2012. My question to you is, do you care?

Fashion Week is THE event in fashion, and it happens in almost every country these days. The major Fashion Weeks are New York, Milan, Paris and London. Most countries hold 2 Fashion Weeks each year, a Spring/Summer and a Fall/Winter. Aside from showcasing all the upcoming fashion from some of the worlds biggest designers, the Fashion Week shows also give insight into the upcoming beauty trends.

Todays question came to me after last weeks poll. An assuming me would guess that if you don’t follow trends, you wouldn’t find Fashion Week/s interesting, but am I wrong?

My Opinion: I don’t really follow trends straight from the catwalk, but I definitely find them inspiring. As someone who is rather uncreative with their daily makeup, I like to see what sort of colours are being used and how they are worn. For that reason, I do care about Fashion Weeks in general. I particularly find New York Fashion Weeks to be the most appealing to me. I will try to see every report that comes out about NY Fashion Week and hunt down all the images. Why does New York interest me the most? Well, I think it comes down the some of the brands behind the looks, but I need to investigate my motives a little more.

What do you think about Fashion Week/s? Are they a whole lot of nothing? Are you enthralled by them? Would you rather watch paint dry?

Do you care about Fashion Week/s?

I am sure you have all seen those Sunsilk commercials boasting their new co-creations collection. If you were like me you were probably asking yourself ‘who are these people’? Judgemental aren’t I. Well, recently one of the co-creators actually made a trip to Australia to talk about his involvement with the brand. That man was Thomas Taw.

When I found out Tom would be making the trip to Australia I wanted to find out a bit more about him. More so, why is he the so called ‘damage hair expert’. After all, he was charged with the power to create an affordable hair treatment regime for damaged hair, by one of the biggest names in haircare. I figured a huge name like Sunsilk would not entrust their brand to an ‘expert’ unless he was exactly that. Continue Reading

Unfortunately this is not the exciting announcement that I have joined forces with Harrods London to develop an awesome new venture (oh how I dream…..maybe some day!!!). Rather it seems Harrods has been inspired by yours truly (thats what I keep telling myself) and helped themselves to a rather quirky name for their new exhibition. As Continue Reading
