Dry Shampoo Hair Tutorial

I know I’m in great company when I say dry shampoo is confusing to use. Have you bought dry shampoo, read the instructions, applied it and then thought to yourself, “this was a waste of money, it didn’t work”?. That was my response for the first ten dry shampoos I ever used. I was convinced they were the greatest hoax in the beauty industry. Could it be that I was just using it incorrectly? The instructions were simple enough: Continue Reading

Nad’s Ingrow Solution

My body always goes into shock when I remove hair, whether it be with a razor, cream or wax, which manifests as a cross between heat rash and razor burn. It looks absolutely awful and feels a million times worse. Burning, itching and inflamed skin is never a good companion, especially on your vacation. During my last-minute dash through Priceline prior to my vacation in Bali, I grabbed the Ingrow Solution by Nad’s. I have never used this particular product but I have had some luck with other razor burn solutions previously so I was hoping this one would be a winner.

Did it save my skin? Will it be a summer staple? Read my review to find out!  Continue Reading

Happy end of June and let us give thanks to the end of another financial year. Why, you ask. Because if you are lucky you will have a tax return in your not too distant future and that means you can spend it one some hot new goodies for yourself, perhaps some of the hot new goodies I am featuring in this post. Beautiful Brown Hair

This year has seen a boom in new haircare products and I have to say the technology behind them is really stepping up. Gone are the days where you just needed a shampoo and conditioner that could get you through until your next salon visit. Nowadays, at-home haircare is doing wonderful things and you can do it without leaving your own bathroom.

There have been a lot of new releases this year so I am going to show you some of my favourites that have impressed me. Make sure you tell me if you have discovered any new goodies as well! Continue Reading

Just in time for a cold, depressing winter Innoxa have released a brand new range of lipsticks that will keep your pucker smooth and brightly coloured.  The Classic Colour lipsticks come in 12 wearable shades and are packed with good things like Vitamin E to make sure it doesn’t dry out our poor chapped lips. Sweet!

Today I am going to show you 9 of the new lipstick shades and share my thoughts on the product.

What I Say ….

  • First thing I notice, as always, is the packaging. These lipsticks come with a peek-a-boo colour block base so you can easily see which colour you are about to apply, and a shiny black lid. There is a very nice sounding click when you close the lid and you really have to actually pull to get the lid off. That means this packaging is handbag perfect.
  • The colour range is really nice, with a lot of subtle differences but enough of a variety to ensure a colour for everyone. Some of the colours are Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Dermaquest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser

Face cleansers are seen as quite an underrated product in terms of our overall skincare needs, but they’re actually really important. The correct cleanser for your skin should remove dirt, debris and build-up that otherwise gets in the way of your other skincare products delivering their best results. A vast majority of skin issues can be activated simply by using the wrong cleanser. When it comes to anti-aging, it’s essential to not use a face cleanser that is drying or stripping. Hydration is key, and that’s one of the major claims behind the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser.

As I continue my fight against aging and dry skin I’ve tested the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser. Is it worth the price tag? Read on to find out.  Continue Reading

Female Hair Loss Before and After

Female hair loss and hair thinning are a growing sector within the beauty market. I used to think female hair loss was a beauty issue and as such could be treated with beauty products. Self-inflicted hair loss is my most common concern. I blamed my tight braids, hair irons and chemical damage. However, the fact remains that the leading causes for female hair loss are health related.

When my normal amount of hair fall dramatically increased, with noticeable receding of my hairline, I panicked. I didn’t know where to begin with treating it but I couldn’t understand why it was happening. I’d stop styling my hair in tight do’s, I rarely heat style and I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 2 years. I ruled out self-inflicted hair loss so I went straight to my GP (doctor) to ask for advice. It turns out that my female hair loss was completely reversible for less than $20!  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Trefiel Lace Face Mask, Moisturising sheet mask skincare.

If you follow beauty on Instagram it’s highly likely you’ve seen the Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask. They look like a piece of black lace, often seen adorning the faces of cute beauty influencers. What they actually are is a range of sheet masks. Really pretty sheet masks.

The Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask is available in four formulations – Moisturising, Brightening, Repairing and Toning. Trefiel initially launched with just the Moisturising mask but later rebranded and added 3 more masks to the line-up. I chose to review their original Moisturising Face Mask.  Continue Reading
