I love palettes. I think they could actually be my most loved colour cosmetic of all. Whether it be an eyeshadow palette, a lip and cheek palette, or just an everything-in-one. There is something about having lots of pretty colours neatly packaged into one compact that gets me giddy, and apparently I’m not the only beauty blogger who feels that way.

If there were just one minority of people who knew how to expertly shop for beauty products it would have to be beauty bloggers. I’m heading to the USA soon and it’s been a long time since I stepped foot in my beloved beauty store, Sephora. By now I thought Sephora would be shipping to Australia but as we know, that isn’t happening. To assist me in preparing a shopping list I called on my fellow beauty bloggers from the Beauty Blog Coalition to tell me which one product they deemed an essential Sephora purchase. Continue Reading
Spring is almost over for me but I still thought I should do a little spring clean of my makeup bag before I hit summer. I like to pick out a bunch of new products to keep in my makeup bag for an entire season, and occasionally change out one or two products when I am trialling. I don’t like to trial all new products at the same time because if I have a bad reaction to something I won’t be able to narrow down the perpetrator.
The contents of this makeup bag is the makeup products I used mostly throughout Autumn. These are my day-to-day products which I like to keep neutral or trans-seasonal so when I am in a rush I can throw it on and know I won’t look out of place. All my other makeup is within easy reach so if I feeling like something different I can grab an eyeshadow or lipstick to change it up. Continue Reading
If you didn’t think I could top the last competition than I hope you will be pleasantly surprised with this one. This particular item I have been waiting to giveaway since Urban Decay announced it way back in December 2011. As you can guess (or perhaps the post title gave it away), this competition is to win a NAKED 2 PALETTE!!!! Continue Reading
The release of the Naked 2 eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay was probably the biggest moment in many beauty addicts lives this year. Depending on which country you were in, December 1 or 2 was a date to remmeber. People all across America flooded the Urban Decay website but they sold out quick, as did consecutive releases since. If you were like me and not in the USA, you probably kicked and screamed at having no way of getting it.
My love for the first Urban Decay Naked Palette is quite strong, and it hasn’t wavered since obtaining it well over a year ago. Missing out on Naked 2 was just not an option for me. I needed it. Thanks to the amazing April from Glitter.Gloss.Garbage, the Naked 2 was obtained and heading my way. It arrived only a couple days ago but as I had no internet, it gave me time to really play with it and get an opinion.

There are a lot of reviews and swatches floating around out there. Perhaps my post is completely unnecessary, but after playing for a while I realised the swatches I had seen online were nothing like how they appeared on my fair, pale, NC15-NC20 skin. I am doing this post for those of you who have skin like mine because there is a difference in how these colours work on our skin.
