How To Prevent Crows Feet Header

Crows feet are often the first wrinkles women start to notice on themselves. Those fine lines branching out from the outer corner of our eyes reveal so much about how we care for ourselves. Dehydration, sun damage and repetitive face movements are the most common causes of crows feet. Before you go grabbing a needle filled with Botox, no matter how much damage you have already done you can still prevent further damage. For those of you who are yet to see the signs of crows feet forming, now is the time to take my tips into action so you can prolong having to take any drastic action in the future.

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for using injectables and fillers when the time comes, but a few changes in your daily life can make an impact (and my tips are all much more cost effective). Continue Reading

The long awaited Forever 21 clothing haul has arrived. After my trip to the states earlier this year, I showed you the jewellery haul as an attempt to ease you into the hauling masses. Next I showed you Zara, which most of you have seemed to think I did well with, or just haven’t said otherwise.

Now, it is my last official clothing haul. I love Forever 21 and in the past I have spent a bucketload every time I walk into one of their stores. As with all the previous hauls this year, I tried to stay calm and only buy exactly what I thought I would need. Here is what I came home with.

NOTE: I am still working out the best way to take haul photos. Does the mannequin work for you? Let me know!

Skirts

I am definitely a skirt girl. I find with my constantly changing body shape, skirts are often the item I can get a little more wear out of even when I put on or drop a few inches. I would like to think I have no problem in the area of selecting skirts, but when I look back on photos of me wearing what I thought at the time fitted me, I realise it did not look so great. Hopefully I have done ok with these two.

Floral A-Line Skirt with Pockets

I like the almost-structured look of this skirt that the hard linen fabric creates. I thought it would work well as a skirt that goes over tops around my waste. It has deep pockets that are hidden quite well, and I love pockets on skirts and dresses when you can’t tell they are there. I also liked the large buttons down the front for a little detail.

I paid = US $12.50

Floral Mini Skirt

I love skirts with a bit of ‘swing’ or movement, and I actually had a skirt very similar to this one that I bought at Forever 21 last year, and it was my favourite for months. When I saw this one I thought it would be just as good as my previous version so I snapped it up without really trying it on. The skirt has an elastic waistband at the back, but flat at the front, and I like this because somedays I am fatter than others. It is double layered, cream polyester on the bottom and a floral chiffon over the top. I thought it was just a really pretty combo I could wear during spring summer.

I paid = US $10.50

I was unable to find these skirts on Forever 21 online, but there are lots of similar styles available!

Dresses

Dresses are my favourite style of clothing.

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Dermaquest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser

Face cleansers are seen as quite an underrated product in terms of our overall skincare needs, but they’re actually really important. The correct cleanser for your skin should remove dirt, debris and build-up that otherwise gets in the way of your other skincare products delivering their best results. A vast majority of skin issues can be activated simply by using the wrong cleanser. When it comes to anti-aging, it’s essential to not use a face cleanser that is drying or stripping. Hydration is key, and that’s one of the major claims behind the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser.

As I continue my fight against aging and dry skin I’ve tested the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser. Is it worth the price tag? Read on to find out.  Continue Reading

Female Hair Loss Before and After

Female hair loss and hair thinning are a growing sector within the beauty market. I used to think female hair loss was a beauty issue and as such could be treated with beauty products. Self-inflicted hair loss is my most common concern. I blamed my tight braids, hair irons and chemical damage. However, the fact remains that the leading causes for female hair loss are health related.

When my normal amount of hair fall dramatically increased, with noticeable receding of my hairline, I panicked. I didn’t know where to begin with treating it but I couldn’t understand why it was happening. I’d stop styling my hair in tight do’s, I rarely heat style and I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 2 years. I ruled out self-inflicted hair loss so I went straight to my GP (doctor) to ask for advice. It turns out that my female hair loss was completely reversible for less than $20!  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Trefiel Lace Face Mask, Moisturising sheet mask skincare.

If you follow beauty on Instagram it’s highly likely you’ve seen the Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask. They look like a piece of black lace, often seen adorning the faces of cute beauty influencers. What they actually are is a range of sheet masks. Really pretty sheet masks.

The Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask is available in four formulations – Moisturising, Brightening, Repairing and Toning. Trefiel initially launched with just the Moisturising mask but later rebranded and added 3 more masks to the line-up. I chose to review their original Moisturising Face Mask.  Continue Reading
