Judy is this awesome nail blogger I met way back in 2011 at Cosmoprof and when I discovered her site, BeautyJudy.com, I was amazed at her nail application talents. Of course Judy is an awesome beauty blogger in every other aspect but I think girls who can consistently paint their nails this well are deserving of a Noble Prize or something equivalent. Today Judy has been so kind to share with us one of her Christmas nail art tutorials featuring a Santa Suit.

Remember how I went to Cosmoprof North America way back in August last year? Don’t worry if you don’t, I forget things too. In fact, I kind of forgot to finish unpacking my luggage until … oh let’s just say …. Christmas! Despite having already shared my hauls from Milani, CVS, Ulta, MAC Cosmetics, and Sephora Part 1 and Part 2, there are in fact a lot more products I haven’t shown you yet. Yes, yes, I am sick and I have issues. I know.
Today I am going to show you the mega nail polish haul. To be honest, I don’t know what I was thinking collection all this nail polish because even if I painted my nails everyday for the next 100 years, I will never get through it all. On the plus side, they are all just soooooooooo pretty.
Some of the polishes you will have seen before as I pulled those out in the early days, but the majority were buried deep in a bag. Here I go ….
One of the many lacquers I picked up in this haul
Zoya create beautiful nail polishes all individually named with female names. I have always wanted to try their polishes but had never seen them in person until I went to Cosmoprof. Continue Reading
The moment finally came just a few short hours ago, Cosmoprof North America opened their doors for 2011. It was a moment I had been dreaming about for months. I had no idea what to expect, except for chaos. My expectations were met with thousands of people filing into the conference halls at Mandalay Bay Convention Centre. It was the busiest trade fair I had ever seen.
My goal for Cosmoprof was to find some unique products, learn about what is coming up for 2011 and increase my knowledge of the beauty industry. Another important goal for me during Cosmoprof was to hear (and if possible, meet) my idols in the online beauty world, Christine from Temptalia, Annie from Bellasugar and Rachel from Daily Makeover. Day 1 may have been exhausting, but I think I accomplished all of those straight off the bat. Nice!
There are a huge range of products on show at Cosmoprof. There is everything from hair products, nails, salon equipment and more. Here are a few of the things I found interesting on my first day.
Hair twirling your thing? Well, the Twistmaster makes it automated. The device comes with two separate prongs that allow you to create a unique ‘twisted’ hairstyle. First, there is a hook shaped attachment that when looped through hair, twists the hair to be pinned back for a funky look. Alternatively there is the separated tongs which can curly your hair into a neat little roll read for pinning.
My initial thoughts are that this item is very niche for the uncreative folk. If you are really good at coming up with crazy hair ideas than this could be an item that would speed up the process. I guess we will have to wait and see if this one takes off.

For some people, mother’s day is seen as a huge milestone and another chance to celebrate having their mom around. I personally know many people who have lost their mother at a young age, or came close to it, and they are the ones who truly see some value in Mother’s Day. For those people, picking up a box of chocolates is not an option. They want to do something else, something more personal. For those people, I have an idea for you.
Back when I was younger my mother always made sure there was more than one birthday gift. It would either be a bunch of smaller things or a couple of items I really wanted ….. but either way, there was more than one. If you like receiving gifts, like I do, than this is the most exciting thing in the world. My mother would always wrap things individually which was fun for me, but as I get older I tend to like the ‘goody bag’ approach. Opening one item, be it a box or bag, and finding lots of fun things sends me over the moon. Continue Reading
