Essential foods for healthy living

With so many diets, fads, weightless programs and the overall push towards fitspiration, it’s hard to know what you should and shouldn’t be changing in your life. A desire to get healthy is the hardest part, once you have the desire the rest won’t seem like a massive effort but what’s the first thing you can do upon making that realisation? Change your fuel!

Food is the fuel of our bodies and the simplest improvement you can make to your body is to change the fuel you’re putting in. With the addition (or increased intake) of these 3 foods you can be on your way to looking and feeling better than you ever have before. Continue Reading

Vitamins

I’ve never been a fan of taking vitamins or a bunch of pills to make me feel better. My train of thought has always been to tough it out or just eat better, but since becoming vegan I’ve learnt that not everything can be solved with food choices. Due to a major diet and lifestyle change I no longer have those issues but I know many people who do. My recommendation is moving to a plant-based diet, it has worked wonders for me, but I was curious if there were other ways to relieve a bloating gut so I asked celebrity nutritionist and chef, Zoe Bingley-Pullin, for her recommendations.

We know you are going to have a bit of bloating happening over the coming weeks but take these tips into account and the pain won’t be as bad. Continue Reading

I don’t mean to sound like the grinch but I think it’s safe to say that nowadays the festive season is all about gluttony. Food, presents, food, drinking, food …… and more food. Naturally, it’s the worst time to attempt to get healthy or even maintain a healthy lifestyle, but all hope is not lost if you put in a little prep work now.

I have spoken with celebrity nutritionist and chef, Zoe Bingley-Pullin, to get some tips on post-holiday rejuvenation and why it’s important we give our bodies a break. Continue Reading
