Posts in Pañpuri Organic Spa

The days sure have been getting quite chilly around old Sydney-town and there are a few things I just love doing when the temperature drops. One of those is heading to a day spa, getting onto a warm massage table and having someone rub hot oil on my back. Are you with me girls?

Not all trips to a spa can be enjoyable though. Sometimes the environment is too bright, or too chirpy, or something else that makes you feel really unrelaxed. Well last week I went to Pañpuri Organic Spa in Pyrmont (Sydney) and it had none of those things. I just had to share with you my experience because if you are a lover of spas like I am, I think you will want to hear this.

The Spa

I had never heard of Pañpuri Organic Spa until a couple of weeks ago so I assumed “I haven’t heard of it, it mustn’t be that great”, like the egotistical b!%#h I can be. After checking out their website I realised it was for good reason. Until recently they were only located in Bangkok and Madrid. Funnily enough I have not been to either of those two cities, or their countries …. or even their continents!

The more I read about Pañpuri Organic Spa the more I wanted in. Doesn’t this description from their website just draw you in?

Pañpuri  Organic Spa welcomes you to experience unparalleled luxury in the first luxury spa to use the highest quality, authentic organic spa products available, in a warm, sensuous and soothing environment. Exclusive, secluded and private, Pañpuri offers a cocoon of luxurious comfort and relaxation. From the moment you enter a Pañpuri Organic Spa, everything you feel and touch is pure and gentle. Every extravagance engendering a feeling of well-being as you surrender yourselves to the caring and experienced hands of our expertly trained therapists.

I love anything ritzy and high-class and upon seeing some pictures I just had to give it a try.

The Black and Gold pathway

Before The Treatment

Like any visit to a new spa, picking a treatment is difficult. The Pañpuri approach to spa treatments is completely different to anything I have ever experienced. They mix therapies from across Asia and the most ‘exotic’ experience I have ever had is a Swedish Massage, so I wanted to try something that would give me a taste of everything. After scouring the treatment menu I decided on the Mali Moonlight Massage, but more on that later.

I was advised to arrive 15 minutes prior to my appointment so that I would have time to fill in the registration card, relax and have a herbal tea. When I arrived at the spa I was so impressed with their lobby that I would have been happy to have the treatment right there. The colour scheme was black and gold, everything was shiny, the decor was extravagant and all their products were perfectly displayed.

I was greeted by an adorable young Asian woman who I couldn’t really understand what she was saying but she had such a beautiful smile. I just kept nodding. After filling out the registration card (standard spa procedure for those who don’t frequent them) I was escorted to a waiting room which was secretly tucked away behind the reception area. The room was almost pitch black with just some minor uplighting on the walls that showed off the black mosaic tiles. I was seated in a luxurious leather recliner and given a hot towel and a little cup of herbal peppermint tea. I didn’t know what the tea was until I drunk it and I strongly dislike anything mint so I stopped after one sip. The hot towel was heavenly on my ice cold face!

After about 5-10 minutes in the waiting room my massage therapist came and collected me, and escorted me through a set of big heavy doors. Suddenly I was transported to what I imagine a chinese emperors bath house would look like. Black and gold EVERYWHERE, massive gold statute thing and lots of little doorways sprouting off this large walkway.

I was gobsmacked before I even got to the room.

The Treatment

As mentioned earlier, I picked the Mali Moonlight Massage which is their Signature massage. Seeing as though I am having such problems with my neck of late (which is now shooting down into my arms), I thought the description of this one gave me the most of at easing some of the pain.

Official Description

Mali Moonlight Massage is our Signature Massage. The ultimate in pampering, this treatment combines Traditional Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, Reiki, and Acupressure techniques, to ensure absolute relaxation. Surrender your body to the rhythmic waves of a full body massage, employing long kneading strokes and acupressure techniques, then drift away to the exquisite scent of our rare, and pure organic infused Jasmine oil with aromatherapy massage techniques. Feeling totally at one with yourself, enjoy the lasting effects and scents of our sensual aromas as you complete your journey with our organic tea.

When I entered my treatment room the gobsmacking continued. The room was again almost pitch black but there were lighted candles, beautiful decor and a glass shower which featured a gold mosaic tile wall. Seriously!  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Dermaquest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser

Face cleansers are seen as quite an underrated product in terms of our overall skincare needs, but they’re actually really important. The correct cleanser for your skin should remove dirt, debris and build-up that otherwise gets in the way of your other skincare products delivering their best results. A vast majority of skin issues can be activated simply by using the wrong cleanser. When it comes to anti-aging, it’s essential to not use a face cleanser that is drying or stripping. Hydration is key, and that’s one of the major claims behind the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser.

As I continue my fight against aging and dry skin I’ve tested the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser. Is it worth the price tag? Read on to find out.  Continue Reading

Female Hair Loss Before and After

Female hair loss and hair thinning are a growing sector within the beauty market. I used to think female hair loss was a beauty issue and as such could be treated with beauty products. Self-inflicted hair loss is my most common concern. I blamed my tight braids, hair irons and chemical damage. However, the fact remains that the leading causes for female hair loss are health related.

When my normal amount of hair fall dramatically increased, with noticeable receding of my hairline, I panicked. I didn’t know where to begin with treating it but I couldn’t understand why it was happening. I’d stop styling my hair in tight do’s, I rarely heat style and I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 2 years. I ruled out self-inflicted hair loss so I went straight to my GP (doctor) to ask for advice. It turns out that my female hair loss was completely reversible for less than $20!  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Trefiel Lace Face Mask, Moisturising sheet mask skincare.

If you follow beauty on Instagram it’s highly likely you’ve seen the Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask. They look like a piece of black lace, often seen adorning the faces of cute beauty influencers. What they actually are is a range of sheet masks. Really pretty sheet masks.

The Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask is available in four formulations – Moisturising, Brightening, Repairing and Toning. Trefiel initially launched with just the Moisturising mask but later rebranded and added 3 more masks to the line-up. I chose to review their original Moisturising Face Mask.  Continue Reading
