Sephora Australia Preview
I’m hoping you took a look at the video I shared yesterday of Sephora Australia’s exclusive preview event. If you did you should now be informed on which brands you’ll find inside the mega-beauty retailer come December, but I hope you didn’t think that was all I had for you? Tsk tsk tsk, you should know me better.

My quest for answers doesn’t cease when some shiny balls are thrown my way. Admittedly I do play with them for a while but I eventually get back to the job at hand. Once I was back on track I hunted down every Sephora Australia staff member I could and it made for some very interesting facts. Today I’m sharing with you the things I learnt during my time at Sephora Australia’s media preview.  Continue Reading

Beauty Blog Coalition Online Shopping Tips

If there were just one minority of people who knew how to expertly shop online it would have to be bloggers. And if we were to narrow it down further, fashion and beauty bloggers would definitely be the most savvy shoppers of them all. As we prepare for the Boxing Day sales and New Year shopping madness I asked my fellow beauty bloggers from the Beauty Blog Coalition to provide their best tips for online shopping.

Bookmark this post, write a to-do list and prepare yourself because you will never shop online the same way again. But before we get into the tips from the other fabulous bloggers, let me share some of my own:  Continue Reading

Deborah Lippmann Sephora Exclusive Nail Lacquers

I was blessed to have previously met Deborah Lippmann and she impressed me beyond words. The only thing possibly more impressive than Deborah Lippmann is her amazing line of  Lippmann Collection nail lacquers. They are phenomenal and quite possibly the biggest indie nail polish brand in existence. Every nail lacquer lover should have at least 1 of her nail lacquers in their lifetime. And now for those of you in USA or Canada, you are going to be stoked to hear that Deborah Lippmann’s nail lacquers will be sold in Sephora.  Continue Reading

I know we are only into day 2 of our week long Mothers Day gifting special, but I thought I should let you in on one of my own little secrets before we go any further.

Buying things for others can be rewarding enough. You get to feel their excitement at receiving a gift, and their priceless face expression when they unwrap something they have been longing for …… but why not reward yourself at the same time? Continue Reading

Today I am introducing you to what will be another frequent feature, the Brand Profile. This idea came to me while I was in the USA last year. I was having so much fun shopping up a storm for products I know and loved, or products from brands I know and loved, but found myself almost in tears when trying to decide if I should buy products I have NEVER heard of. This anguish inspired me to make a very long list of brands to discover. Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Dermaquest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser

Face cleansers are seen as quite an underrated product in terms of our overall skincare needs, but they’re actually really important. The correct cleanser for your skin should remove dirt, debris and build-up that otherwise gets in the way of your other skincare products delivering their best results. A vast majority of skin issues can be activated simply by using the wrong cleanser. When it comes to anti-aging, it’s essential to not use a face cleanser that is drying or stripping. Hydration is key, and that’s one of the major claims behind the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser.

As I continue my fight against aging and dry skin I’ve tested the DermaQuest Stem Cell 3D Facial Cleanser. Is it worth the price tag? Read on to find out.  Continue Reading

Female Hair Loss Before and After

Female hair loss and hair thinning are a growing sector within the beauty market. I used to think female hair loss was a beauty issue and as such could be treated with beauty products. Self-inflicted hair loss is my most common concern. I blamed my tight braids, hair irons and chemical damage. However, the fact remains that the leading causes for female hair loss are health related.

When my normal amount of hair fall dramatically increased, with noticeable receding of my hairline, I panicked. I didn’t know where to begin with treating it but I couldn’t understand why it was happening. I’d stop styling my hair in tight do’s, I rarely heat style and I haven’t dyed my hair in almost 2 years. I ruled out self-inflicted hair loss so I went straight to my GP (doctor) to ask for advice. It turns out that my female hair loss was completely reversible for less than $20!  Continue Reading

Beauty blogger Kimberly Nissen of The Plastic Diaries reviews Trefiel Lace Face Mask, Moisturising sheet mask skincare.

If you follow beauty on Instagram it’s highly likely you’ve seen the Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask. They look like a piece of black lace, often seen adorning the faces of cute beauty influencers. What they actually are is a range of sheet masks. Really pretty sheet masks.

The Trefiel Lace Sheet Mask is available in four formulations – Moisturising, Brightening, Repairing and Toning. Trefiel initially launched with just the Moisturising mask but later rebranded and added 3 more masks to the line-up. I chose to review their original Moisturising Face Mask.  Continue Reading
