Sandals are not my thing, especially jelly sandals. I am not a beach person (actually, the beach terrifies me) and the feeling of hot sticky plastic glued to my feet in summer is my idea of a nightmare. But I do love the look of them. In the last 12 months we have seen jelly shoes and sandals make a huge comeback. They are far more fashionable than they used to be when I was a child, but are they more comfortable? I insisted to anyone that would listen that they would still be horribly uncomfortable, even though I hadn’t actually tried a pair in years. Then I was challenged.
