It’s a new year and time to set some new goals. Despite my obsession with looking and feeling my best, it’s my laziness that gets in the way of looking after myself as much as I should. I may own all the beauty products in the world but when it comes to using them I slack off after a couple of uses. This year I aim to take better care of my body and one way I’m contemplating doing that is by making use of some high-tech beauty inventions. 2014 will be the year I embrace the beauty tool.

The release of new hair styling tools are as certain as death and taxes. You would think that after all these years of hair gadgets being released, there would be nothing new to make? Well, if you thought that, you are so wrong!

VS Sassoon has come up with yet another great invention. The Big Hair Styler, a rotational brush mounted over a hair dryer. Sounds simple enough. While this exact tool is a new release for the company, the hot hair styler isn’t a completely new concept for them. Before this new release, the Hot Air Brush N’ Style was the non-rotational version and one I had personally found useful. The one thing that always troubled me with the Hot Air Brush N’ Style was that it was still a lot of work for me to try get volume or to shape my hair, so I ended up using it more as a regular dryer, somewhat defeating its purpose. All my life I have owned a power toothbrush. Admittedly I didn’t always use it the way it was meant to be used (ok, that sounds wrong!). For a long time I didn’t have a power point in my bathroom so when I would forget to put it back on charge I would just use it as a normal toothbrush.
