Alterna Bamboo UV+ Colour Hold Kit

The Bamboo UV+ Colour Hold range says it’s ideal for vibrant hair colours, which is exactly what I had when I did this to my hair. However, that wasn’t enough to make me to commit to the 4-piece lineup. When I want to try a new haircare line I love if they offer trial size or travel kits that allow you to test it before committing to full-size bottles. Alterna isn’t your supermarket-priced haircare brand and even though I’ve loved everything I’ve used of theirs in the past, I didn’t want to invest in 4 premium haircare products without a little proof first. That’s why the Bamboo UV+ Colour Hold On-The-Go kit was perfect for me.

It is Halloween month and my most favourite time of the year to see spooky makeup looks and ghoulish nails. Other than Halloween though, the beauty front will be a little quiet for new launches this October. Certain treatments in particular are the key to keeping your skin looking and feeling good. But, home care is equally important. I get asked quite often about my skin secrets but none more so than what I use at home. I have told you a lot about Dannè Montague-King (DMK) and I still use the products daily but there are other products I haven’t yet told you about or only briefly mentioned.

Today I am going to share with you some products I use to achieve the same result as a professional treatment. This post is dedicated to Kat _H_, an Instagram user who so kindly complimented my complexion again this week.  Continue Reading

September. The start of Spring (in Australia) and a very welcome change of temperature, while the northern hemisphere move into fall. It is the time where we switch our wardrobes, makeup, skincare and almost every part of our lives. In beauty, we have seen a big change this time around. September is a big month.

So far I have welcomed 98 new products going on sale this month. It is the most new launches I have seen since starting this series in March but I also believe the most in my entire 2 and a bit years of writing The Plastic Diaries. With this huge number of new beauty products you can bet that creating this months list was awfully difficult. Continue Reading
