Posts in Suzi Baker Threading

When my birthday rolled around in April I started getting even more concerned with aging. I finally tipped to the other side of my mid-twenties and the looming 3-0 is not far off. While age is all but a number to some, for me it is one very large root in my tree of fears. I started to look into ways I could prevent the appearance of aging even more so and one thing that kept coming back to me was Threading.

I decided that facial waxing was no longer an option for me because there is now solid proof that it is traumatic for the skin. Eyebrows and lips are the areas I would wax and as it turns out, that is the where the most damage occurs because of the sensitive tissues in those areas. Common side effects for facial waxing is increased breakdown of collagen and loss of elasticity so around the mouth that means lip line wrinkles, and for eyebrows it means sagging skin. No thank-you! Best Vegan Skincare Brands

Everyone has their own opinion on what skincare should do and be, but for me it’s all about aiming for perfection. I don’t want skincare that does the bare minimum and let’s me age gracefully. I only want to use skincare that WORKS – constantly improving my skin and getting it to function at it’s very best. That’s why I’m sharing with you the best vegan skincare brands.

People often confuse my choice to be vegan as somehow meaning I don’t care about my aesthetics any more. They couldn’t be more wrong! My strict standards for top performing skincare isn’t lessened by my cruelty-free choices. If anything, it makes my standards even higher.

There’s a misconception that cruelty-free and vegan skincare is unable subpar; that they’re less effective than animal-based skincare formulations. While this may have been the case decades ago when vegan skincare exclusively meant “natural” products with little to no scientific basis, skincare development has come a long way since then. Don’t get me wrong, there are still hundreds of natural skincare brands out there that do exactly what I don’t want – they don’t improve your skin, they just make it feel and smell nice – and there is a market for those. Not everyone is deathly afraid of aging like me. However, if you strive for clear, healthy and progressively improving skin despite the years passing us by, than I have exactly what you need.

My list of top performing skincare brands will introduce you to the changemakers. The hard-working, highly efficient skincare that allows you to take charge of your own aging appearance. And it just so happens they’re also the best vegan skincare brands too!  Continue Reading
