The leather trend is inescapable right now and it doesn’t look like it’s fading anytime soon. I’m probably the last one to get in on the action but as a vegan I’m careful with the fashion items I buy. In this day and age no one has to die for us to look good. I admit I was avoiding anything that looked remotely like leather because I didn’t know if I would’ve been tempted to buy something I really didn’t want to. A few weeks ago I discovered there was absolutely no reason to worry because the majority of items I was lusting after were actually made with vegan leather! I couldn’t believe how far the industry had come in making synthetic leather look like the real thing, feel like the real thing and last even better than the real thing.

I want to show you my new vegan leather purchases and I have created a wishlist of other items you would never believe use vegan leather as well. I am not just talking cheap, unknown brands. Big designer brands such as BCBGMAXAZRIA, M Missoni, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors are just a few who are now utilising vegan leather in their designs. YAY!  Continue Reading

What Do You Do With Polyvore?

I have only been playing around with it for a few days, but ultimately I have worked out a few key things. It would seem one uses Polyvore to create little collages, known as ‘Sets’, of things you like or want. Back in my day, one would cut things out from a magazine that they wanted to buy. Polyvore is basically that but taken online and far more interactive.

Instead of just having a collage of useless images of items that you have to hunt down, each image is linked to the relevant online store that you can buy it from. Far more intelligent than the old magazine clipping technique.
