When it comes to flawless makeup, setting it is just as important as the foundation you use and your application. If you have oily skin you’re most likely already doing it but if you have dry skin you’re probably skipping it for fear of it making your skin flaky. It’s important to know that not all face powders are made equally. Some are better for dry skin while others are better for oily …. but my favourites are good for any skin type. They won’t dry you out or make you produce more oil. They will leave your skin looking flawless and extend the wear of your coverage. You can never have enough sunscreen, that is my motto. Sunscreen powder, well, to be honest I never quite believed that would be something I would use even though I love sunscreen. I first came across sunscreen powder during a shopping trip at Sephora. I had heard rumblings of the Peter Thomas Roth range of Instant Mineral SPF’s on various blogs and everyone seemed to have something good to say, so I bought it. That was back in 2011 and it has taken me all this time to get around to reviewing it even though I have been using it ever since. I guess I am ready to share my review.
Before I get into it I want to say that there is a lot of debate over the effectiveness of sunscreen in powder form. I personally would never recommend using it as your stand alone sun protection, rather I suggest using it in conjunction with regular sun protection to maximise coverage and really safeguard yourself from sun damage. The name of the line is an obvious pick for Drew, being that her film production company is called Flower Films and it is a name that fits well with Drew’s persona.
