Spring is almost here, which means Summer isn’t too far behind it. I’m so excited by the thought of warm weather that I may have started the party a little early with Imperial Leather’s new limited edition bodywash, Blue Lagoon. The name instantly takes my mind to a sun-soaked, isolated island with crystal clear blue water. Can the scent assist in that daydream? Will I want this limited edition to stick around? Milk & Co is a brand created by two of Australia’s favourite celebrities – Michael & Lindy Klim. What started out as a brand for men’s and baby beauty products has grown into a gorgeous lifestyle brand, now including skincare for women too. Lindy draws inspiration from her Balinese roots (her dad is Balinese) and from growing up in clean & crisp Tasmania (her mom is Australian). This history is evident in her products and the use of natural ingredients along with being made in Australia made this a brand I was keen to try.
I started with the face cleanser as it came highly recommended so I’m going to review it for you. Will this inspire me to keep trying the line or will I throw in the towel? Read on to find out. Continue Reading
Clean hands are more important than you may realise. We learn about cleaning our hands as a way to avoid germs making us sick, but did you know that dirty hands could also be causing your bad skin? Today, try to pay attention to how many times you touch your face. We do it subconsciously and it’s relatively harmless, unless you struggle with breakouts and blackheads.
Everytime we touch our face we transfer oils, germs and bacteria from our fingers to our fragile skin. When you have large, open pores the nasties you deliver to your skin will sit in there and make themselves at home. Avoiding this outcome can be as simple as having clean hands. Don’t worry though, clean hands can now be an enjoyable beauty experience as well because now we have some delectably hand cleansers to brighten things up. Here are some of the ones I’m currently using. Continue Reading
Over the years I’ve gone on-and-off the cult classic Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula body lotion. Sometimes I find the scent delightful and other times it’s too overwhelming for me. In winter I tend to like it because it’s that rich, creamy fragrance you want to envelope your senses and warm you up, but applying body lotion during winter is a nightmare. I admit I don’t usually use a typical body lotion during cold weather, I prefer to use an in-shower moisturiser or I slap on some body oil. That’s why the new Cocoa Butter Formula Body Wash sounded appealing to me.
Palmer’s released a range of body washes late in 2013. The Moisturizing Body Wash is most similar to their hero body lotion so it’s designed for fans looking to get that famous scent into their day a little more. Would it work for me? Continue Reading
With winter in Melbourne now in full-swing I have this underlying need to protect my hair, skin and nails as much as possible. Ok so, winter doesn’t actually cause much damage per se – it’s more the constant wearing of hoodies and sitting on my heating vent that would be the biggest problem – but it doesn’t hurt to use the season as a time to indulge in extra care. And while we are talking about extra care, let’s take a look at Schwarzkopf Extra Care’s Ultimate Repair range.
I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner duo for over 4 weeks and have seen some changes in my hair. The marketing says it will repair damaged hair and apply a protective coat. Did it do that? My review reveals what I really think. Continue Reading
